“The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular” 2025 celebrates its 10th anniversary and returns to our screens for 2 hours of nonstop entertainment! But what can audiences expect from the night?


What To Expect From the Disney Holiday Spectacular

An exact schedule for tonight has not been shared, but this is the important information you need to know: The broadcast starts at 8:00 p.m. EST on Monday, December 1, on ABC. It can also be streamed on Disney+ and Hulu the next day. The show will feature performances filmed at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, and Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii.

Those tuning in will get to see some of their favorite celebrities perform. Performers this evening include Gwen Stefani, Good Charlotte, Lady A, Mariah the Scientist, Nicole Scherzinger, Trisha Yearwood, Bebe Rexha, Aloe Blacc, and Coco Jones.

“Performing here was so magical, just seeing all the lights and Cinderella’s gorgeous castle and my mother is here with me,” Rexha told ABC’s ON The Red Carpet. She will perform the song, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” She added, “It’s just been such an incredible experience.”

“I am just going to channel all the beautiful energy and spirit and magic of this place, and I’m gonna sing my heart out,” Scherzinger shared of her inclusion in the show.


​​Derek Hough Brings the Magic to Life

The role of host this year goes to beloved “Dancing with the Stars” former professional dancer and current judge, Derek Hough. Hough is excited about his inclusion in the show and has teased what to expect. 

“What fans can expect from the wonderful world of Disney holiday spectacular is of course a magical and jam-packed show filled with music and dancing of course,” host Derek Hough told ABC’s On The Red Carpet. “I love the holidays, I love Disney, and bringing those two worlds together is truly a dream come true.”

In an Instagram post on December 1, Hough also revealed how his latest hosting gig was a “dream come true.” He posted several photos from the show, including shots of him dancing. “From being a kid in awe at Disney to now creating shows that bring families together with joy, song, and dance and create feel-good, family-centered entertainment,” he wrote in the caption. “Hosting this holiday special is just another dream come true, and I’m so grateful to share this magic with everyone. Tonight 8/7c on @abc.”

Ginnifer Goodwin will be the narrator, “who carries on the tradition of sharing how the Disney Parks sparkle to life for the holidays,” an ABC statement reads.
