Miley Cyrus Discusses Potential Reboot of Iconic Hit Show

The recently engaged Miley Cyrus, who rose to fame as a star on the Disney Channel, has given her thoughts on the future of “Hannah Montana” and the potential for a reboot of the show. Speaking in an interview ahead of the series’ 20th anniversary in 2026, former ‘Voice’ coach Cyrus explained her thinking about whether she would return to the role and what she thinks about the part being recast as part of a possible reboot.

Miley Cyrus Gives Update on ‘Hannah Montana’ Reboot and Future

Following her engagement to Maxx Morando, Cyrus spoke to Billboard and was asked about how she feels about returning to “Hannah Montana” and if she would enjoy seeing a reboot of the Disney Channel series.

“I don’t know if there is a new Hannah,” Miley said when she was asked about the part possibly being recast. “This is the only Hannah.”

She continued, “For me, I love looking back at the growth for both of us because it’s very rare that someone grows up with their fanbase. When I was 15 years old, I’d look out and see 15-year-olds and now I’m a grown woman, I look out and see other grown people. So what I want to do is honor the longevity of the relationship that we built.”

“Hannah Montana, it outgrew the fantasy,” she continued. “It became the reality of my life. Something that was about a regular girl getting to have this extraordinary life by being someone that she’s not and then turning my life and having this life because of being who I really am and authenticity. So getting to celebrate that—20 years is a long time.”

She had earlier suggested that something was being planned to celebrate the show’s anniversary next year. While appearing on “Good Morning America” last week, Cyrus said she was busy working on plans for the celebrations. “How can I honor Hannah in such a special celebration for us all?” Miley said. “I’m excited to celebrate her.”

Cyrus Gives Update on Dolly Parton’s Health

Cyrus also recently provided a health update on Dolly Parton, who is her godmother. While attending the premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” she was asked about Parton and

“She’s always going to keep the show going. The show must go on. So she’s just excited to get back to work,” Cyrus said. While she did not give any details, the fact that she was so open about her dedication to working hard suggests that nothing major is slowing Parton down right now.

That should give some relief to fans who have been concerned for the singer’s health after she cancelled a number of shows.
