YouTube Star to Make Broadway Debut in ‘Beetlejuice’

YouTube star and social media influencer Trisha Paytas will make her Broadway debut next month when she joins the cast of “Beetlejuice,” according to Playbill. She will perform in the show from November 4 to November 23, 2025.


Trisha Paytas’s Role in Beetlejuice

Paytas will be playing Maxine Dean in the Broadway musical based on the movie of the same name. Previously, this role was played by Sharone Sayegh. Typically, the actress playing Maxine Dean also plays the role of Juno, although Paytas will only be performing the former role. Sayegh will continue to play Juno.

According to Playbill, Paytas’s role in the musical will be fairly minor. According to the site, “Maxine Dean is the wife of Maxie Dean, the Chairman of Botco Industries who is invited for dinner by the Deetzes.”

Paytas took to Instagram to express her excitement over the opportunity. In this post, she said “Beetlejuice” the musical “has been so near and dear” to her heart, and that she saw the show on tour last year. She also wrote about her love of Broadway in general, saying, “Broadway and live theatre have always been my escape since [I was] a young girl.”

Paytas won’t be the first YouTube star to perform in “Beetlejuice.” Two years ago, Keith Habersberger from “The Try Guys” joined the stage for one night, detailing the experience in a video you can watch below:


Trisha Paytas’s Social Media Career

Paytas first joined YouTube in 2006 with the username “blndsundoll4mj.” Today, she has over five million subscribers on the channel, and her videos typically get tens of thousands of views.

On Instagram, Paytas has 1.9 million followers. There, she frequently posts photos of her children with husband Moses Hacmon. She also posts the occasional brand deal.

In addition to being a YouTuber and now Broadway actress, Paytas hosts a podcast called “Just Trish,” where she gives her hot takes on celebrity news and internet drama. She also interviews mega-stars such as Demi Lovato, “Dancing with the Stars'” Ezra Sosa, “Bachelor” Nation and “Traitors” star Gabby Windey, and more.


‘Beetlejuice’ has Returned to Broadway

This is not “Beetlejuice’s” first time on Broadway. The show originally opened in 2019 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. The show first closed in March, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Two years later, “Beetlejuice” returned to Broadway at the Marquis Theatre, although it closed less than a year later in January, 2023.

Now, the show has returned to Broadway for a third time, opening at the Palace Theatre on October 8, 2025. The show has a limited run, currently set to close its doors on January 3, 2026. Tickets can be purchased on the show’s website.
