GettyCurtis, 67, and her husband Christopher Guest, 77, were celebrating her latest film role just days before their 41st wedding anniversary.
The couple held hands as they posed for photos on the red carpet. Curtis wore an all-black ensemble, while Guest decided on a classic navy blue suit with black shoes and no tie.
Guest and Curtis famously met for the first time in 1984 and married just six months after that.
In December 2024, during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Curtis recalled that she figured Guest had intentions to propose to her when he asked, “in typical boy fashion, ‘Do you like diamonds?'” The actress noted at the time that Guest ultimately “proposed in a more private and intimate way.”
Curtis often speaks publicly about her marriage to Guest. “I married the funniest dude on the planet,” she told AARP The Magazine in a cover story back in July. “Christopher Guest can drop me to the ground with a look, let alone a phrase. It can be annoying to be married to somebody who can use his humor to disarm any natural rage that you might have, but it’s also an amazing blessing.”
Following the eventful evening, Curtis posted a photo on her Instagram to celebrate the upcoming theatrical release. She wrote in the caption, “sometimes opportunity comes knocking! It is a comedy, not a runway! As I drove home, I was thinking when else am I going to be on a red carpet where there’s a photograph of me in such close proximity? #ELLA MCCAY comes out in TWO DAYS!”
