Stevie Nicks is a living legend! The Fleetwood Mac icon recently took to the stage, giving fans a scare after she seemingly forgot the lyrics to her beloved hit “Landslide.”
Stevie Nicks Seemingly Forgets ‘Landslide’ Lyrics
A clip of the 77-year-old singer quickly went viral after one concertgoer shared a video from a recent show.
“Why are you crying?” the fan wrote over a clip of Nicks on stage. “Bc Stevie Nicks started forgetting the lyrics to ‘Landslide’ and pointed to her head during ‘I’m getting older too.'”
Fans were quick to show their support for the beloved artist in the comments section of the post, which was shared via Instagram on Tuesday, December 9.
“Just to lighten the mood- 25 yr olds forget their own songs too, it could’ve just been a mistake and the pointing at her head could’ve been a joke,” one user commented.
Another fan wrote, “I saw her in concert last week. She didn’t forget any lyrics but still pointed to her head when she said this. Don’t be too concerned.”
“She stumbled on ONE word, she’s fine. Everyone needs to calm down!!!” a third chimed in.
“I saw her in October and she was absolutely incredible,” another fan added.
One emotional fan responded, writing, “I hope she knows how many of us she’s healed through her music.”
Stevie Nicks Has No Plans to Retire
The Grammy Award winner previously opened up about continuing to make music while she’s still healthy enough to do so.
“Well, if I can stay looking pretty good… When I think that it’s age inappropriate, I won’t do it anymore,” Nicks told Rolling Stone in October 2024. “But then I think I would just bring the shows down. I’d be happy to tour all the beautiful gothic theaters of the United States and Europe, and do two hours and be able to sit in a chair for some of it. Do some songs in my whole catalog that I’ve always wanted to do and never done.”
She continued, “If I’m still alive and healthy, there’s no reason for me to stop doing what I do, because I love it and this was my mission.”
The one thing Nicks will likely never do, however, is tour with the Hall of Fame band Fleetwood Mac after the passing of beloved Christine McVie.
“Without Christine, no can do,” she told Mojo in June 2024. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”
