Patrick John Flueger

There are certain TV moments that instantly spark joy, and seeing Patrick John Flueger back with the “Chicago P.D.” cast is absolutely one of them. Let’s be real: fans have been stressed ever since his sudden leave of absence in October due to a personal matter. The concern was real and the speculation was loud.

So when Marina Squerciati casually dropped a behind-the-scenes birthday photo featuring Flueger on set? Yep, you guessed it… the fandom basically broke out the confetti. And the comments section pretty much turned into one big group hug.

The actor looked happy, healthy, and surrounded by familiar faces, and honestly, that’s the kind of update everyone needed. It seems like the universe finally decided to give “Chicago P.D.” fans a win, and we’re very much here for it.

The Birthday Post That Broke the Fandom

Squerciati, one of the MVPs of cast updates, posted a group shot featuring herself, Patrick John Flueger, Benjamin Levy Aguilar, and LaRoyce Hawkins all gathered around a birthday cake with Flueger’s photo on it. Her caption? Short, cute, and exactly the level of chaotic friend-energy you want in a birthday moment: “HB PF. #wolfpack,” plus tags for all her cast-mates.

It’s the kind of cast photo that reminds you these people actually like each other off-screen, which always makes fans feel even more invested. And let’s not skip past the cake… because that thing deserves an award. A BTS-photo cake? Peak “Chicago P.D.” birthday energy.

And honestly, the best part is just seeing Paddy smiling with his people. After everything, seeing him back on set (even in a celebratory moment) feels hopeful. Viewers aren’t imagining things; the vibe really is that good.

Fans Flood the Comments With Love (and So Many Emojis)

Fans immediately jumped into the comments section with pure enthusiasm, starting with one who couldn’t get over the birthday setup. They wrote, “What a great cake!!!. Many congratulations to the birthday boy who has such nice friends.” It set the tone instantly: excited, warm, and clearly thrilled to see Flueger surrounded by love.

Another fan echoed the same hopeful energy, sharing just how much the photo meant to them. “So happy to see Paddy back on set. What a lovely picture ❤️. I hope you had an amazing birthday Paddy.” It seems like the image hit everyone right in the feelings, and honestly, same.

Then came the fans who didn’t hold back their excitement at all, cheering, “Happy Birthday! So happy you’re coming back! 🥳🎂🎉♥️” Their optimism matches exactly what the fandom has been hoping for; a sign that Paddy is on his way back where he belongs.

One of the most heartfelt responses came from a viewer who wrote, “Happiest of Birthdays to You Paddy!!!! So truly Grateful to see you back and looking Healthy!! One day at a time!!! God Bless 🙏🏼🩵🙏🏼🎂🎉🥳🎁🎈” You could practically feel the emotion through the screen. Supportive, sincere, and full of relief… it was a standout message among many.

Even the production company, Wolf Entertainment, slid into the comments with a perfectly on-brand note: “Squad always showing up.” And honestly? They nailed it. The vibe of the entire moment was squad energy through and through.

Whether this officially marks Flueger’s return to “Chicago P.D.” or is simply a happy moment during his birthday celebration, fans aren’t taking this post lightly. It seems like everyone is choosing hope. And judging by the smiles, the cake, and the overwhelming love in the comments, it feels exactly right.

One of the stars of the show "Riverdale" is opening up about their health battle that took years to diagnose.

Lili Reinhart is opening up about a deeply personal health journey as she reveals she was recently diagnosed with endometriosis — a condition that went undetected by multiple doctors for a year before she pushed for answers herself.

The “Riverdale” alum, 29, underwent laparoscopic surgery last week that ultimately led to the diagnosis, marking a turning point after months of chronic pain and frustration.

Reinhart took to Instagram on Thursday, December 11, to share photos from her hospital experience and candidly describe the long road she traveled before doctors finally identified the source of her pain.

“Last year, I saw a urogynecologist and was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis,” she wrote, noting that multiple specialists failed to consider endometriosis as the underlying cause of her symptoms.

It wasn’t until she worked with pelvic floor therapists and insisted on an MRI that the possibility of endometriosis — specifically adenomyosis, a form that affects the uterus — was even discussed.

Despite conflicting medical opinions — including another gynecologist who told her she “probably didn’t have endo” and suggested birth control — Reinhart said she trusted her instincts and sought out a specialist who could help guide her toward a surgical solution.

“I’m glad I trusted my body and listened to my gut and will continue advocating for others to do so,” she wrote.

What Is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis, a condition in which tissue similar to the uterus lining grows outside the uterus, affects an estimated one in 10 people with uteruses worldwide.

However, it’s notoriously underdiagnosed, with many patients waiting years for a definitive answer — often between 4 to 11 years — after symptoms first begin.

Reinhart highlighted this gap in her post, noting how misunderstood the disease often is and encouraging others to seek answers when they feel dismissed.

The actress’s decision to publicly share her journey comes on the heels of ongoing health advocacy: earlier this year, she spoke about her struggles with chronic illness and how her grandmother’s own experience with ignored medical symptoms inspired her to stay persistent in seeking care.

Reinhart’s honest account has resonated with fans and the wider community, many of whom praised her for using her platforms to shed light on a condition that affects millions but remains poorly understood in both medical and cultural conversations.

Fans Praise Her for Opening Up

Fans of the actress were quick to share their well-wishes for her recovery and their admiration for her opening up about her diagnosis.

“SO SO HAPPY YOU GOT ANSWERS. Thank you for sharing your story. The louder we share, the more awareness we create for other women,” one user wrote.

Another added, “So proud of you for advocating for yourself and bravely sharing your journey. So many people need to see this AND know about endos effects on mental health. It’s all connected.”

Hugh Jackman is giving an unfiltered take on one of the most hilarious (and embarrassing) mishaps of his life. The actor was spotted laughing about one of the most uncomfortable moments of his early career.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show,” the 57-year-old actor reacted with amusement when Stern asked, “Didn’t you piss your pants… on stage?”

The Hydration Advice That Backfired During Jackman’s Early Stage Role

“Morning, everybody!” Jackman joked, confirming it happened while he was playing Gaston in a stage production of “Beauty and the Beast.”

A naturopath had warned him he was dehydrated, so he prepared for an early show by drinking “two gallons” of water.

“You can see what’s happening,” Jackman said. During his first number, while lifting the actress playing Belle, “a little bit of piss came out. I’m wearing red tights. I thought, ‘uh-oh.’”

The Moment Things Got Worse Onstage

Jackman said the real problem came during the song’s big finish. “I had a choice: You sing that F. I either sing it and piss my pants or I don’t sing it and humiliate myself. So, I sang it. And [the urination] was just going.”

He turned away from the audience to avoid being seen. “I’m laughing to myself, thinking my boot is filled with piss, both boots filled with piss. And somehow I’m on stage, 1500 people, ‘Well, I’m getting away with this.’”

But backstage, his dresser immediately spotted it. “She’s looking at my crotch. And I look down as I walk off and it’s completely wet. So in that three minutes after the song, it had seeped through.”

As Jackman summed it up, “Nothing can embarrass you after that.”

Actor Opens Up About Therapy, Awards, and New Film Work

Beyond the mishap, Jackman’s conversation with Stern touched on therapy, award season, and his admiration for costar Kate Hudson.

The pair star in “Song Sung Blue,” Craig Brewer’s new biopic about Milwaukee performers Mike and Claire Sardina, who formed the Neil Diamond tribute act Lightning and Thunder in the 1980s.

The movie hits theaters on December 25.

“I’m really proud of it,” Jackman said of the film. “And when I look at the screen, and I see my performance, I’m like, ‘That’s one of the better things I’ve done.’”

Jackman has a busy slate ahead. He stars in “Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie,” arriving in theaters May 8, 2026, and in “The Death of Robin Hood,” set for release June 4, 2026.

Even with a packed schedule, the actor said moments like his early onstage slip remind him how much he has learned.

And judging from his laughter, he’s more than happy to look back on the story now.

Hugh Jackman has battled many villains on screen, but the Australian actor says his most persistent real-life opponent has been skin cancer. Jackman, 57, recently reflected on his history with the disease and used the conversation to push for stronger public awareness about sun protection.

The actor spoke about his diagnoses in a new interview and confirmed that doctors have treated him for six cases of basal cell carcinoma. Cancer is one of the most common types in the world and often develops after years of sun exposure. Jackman said he now undergoes regular dermatology appointments to stay ahead of any new growths.

A Warning Rooted in Personal Experience

Jackman said during a recent appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” that his first cancer diagnosis in 2013 began with a small mark on his nose. His then-wife and a makeup artist urged him to get it checked. Doctors later confirmed it was cancerous. Since then, he has had additional lesions treated on his nose and shoulder.

Jackman grew up in Australia, a country with high UV levels, and he said he did not take sun protection seriously as a child. He told Stern that his early years in the sun likely contributed to his repeated diagnoses. Jackman added that people should not underestimate the long-term effects of UV exposure and said that regular skin checks can catch cancers before they become serious.

“I want people to get their skin looked at,” Jackman said in the interview. He added that choosing sunscreen and protective clothing is a small step that can prevent major health problems later.

Turning a Private Struggle Into Public Advocacy

Jackman has addressed his skin cancer history multiple times over the past decade. He previously posted photos on social media showing bandages on his nose after procedures and encouraged his audience to wear sunscreen. Each time, he repeated the message that early examinations can prevent more complicated treatments.

Medical experts say the type of cancer Jackman has faced is rarely life-threatening when treated early. They also note that UV damage develops over time and may appear as cancer years after the original sun exposure. Dermatologists recommend annual skin checks for most adults and more frequent visits for people with a history of skin cancer.

Jackman said he hopes his openness will encourage others to act before they face the same situation. He noted that the repeated procedures have taught him the importance of daily sunscreen and consistent medical care.

The actor continues to work on major film projects. Even so, he has kept conversations about health at the forefront of his public appearances. His message remains straightforward: sun protection matters, and early action can prevent years of treatment.

Hollywood Actor Peter Gallagher is remembering Steve Cropper, calling the late musician “another giant” in a moving tribute shared after Cropper’s death. “Steve Cropper, another giant, has departed. What a couple of weeks,” Gallagher wrote.

Gallagher Honors Cropper’s Musical Legacy With Family’s Words and Personal Memories

He went on to share Cropper’s family statement. “Steve was a beloved musician, songwriter, and producer whose extraordinary talent touched millions of lives around the world. As the legendary guitarist for Booker T. & the M.G.‘s and the architect of the Stax Records sound, he helped create some of the most enduring songs in music history, including ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,’ ‘Soul Man,’ ‘Knock on Wood,’ and ‘In the Midnight Hour.’ A Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Grammy Award winner, and Songwriters Hall of Fame honoree, Steve’s influence on American music is immeasurable.”

Gallagher reflected on their friendship. “After singing a song on The OC, I was offered a chance to record an album with Steve. We played some shows, got to know each other’s family over the years and played some golf too. I’m grateful for every second of it.” He ended his tribute with, “My thoughts are with his wife Angel and his children. ‘Play it Steve.’”

Cropper, a defining figure in American soul music, died Wednesday in Nashville at 84. Pat Mitchell Worley, president and CEO of the Soulsville Foundation, confirmed the news after speaking with the family.

Worley’s foundation operates the Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis, the former home of Stax Records, where Cropper spent much of his groundbreaking career. A cause of death has not been shared.

Eddie Gore, a longtime friend, told the Associated Press that Cropper recently suffered a fall. He had visited the musician at a rehabilitation center on Tuesday and said they were collaborating on new music.

“He’s such a good human. We were blessed to have him, for sure,” Gore told the outlet.

Cropper was best known for his work with Booker T. & the MG’s. The band featured Cropper on guitar, Booker T. Jones on keyboards, Donald “Duck” Dunn on bass, and Al Jackson on drums. Their lineup was racially integrated, a rarity during the era.

“When you walked in the door at Stax, there was absolutely no color,” Cropper told AP in 2020. “We were all there for the same reason — to get a hit record.”

His songwriting and guitar work helped shape some of the most iconic soul and R&B songs ever recorded, including “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,” co-written with Otis Redding. He also became widely recognized for his on-screen role as part of the band in “The Blues Brothers.”

Cropper’s influence echoes across genres, generations and countless musicians who credit him for shaping the sound of American soul.

Idris Elba is opening up about a major shift in his career. During a Q&A at the Red Sea International Film Festival, the 53-year-old actor shared that he intends to retire from acting “eventually” so he can focus on directing full time. According to the Daily Mail, Elba said he hopes fans will understand the choice, noting that directing offers a different creative fulfillment from being in front of the camera. The update comes as he promotes his latest directorial project, the short film “Dust To Dreams.”

Elba, whose films have earned more than $9.8 billion globally, explained that directing allows him to engage with storytelling in a new way. He added that while he still loves acting, his long-term goal is to “transfer to be a director fully.” His comments arrive seven years after his directorial debut with “Yardie.”

Elba Says He Wants to Expand His Education and Activism Work

Elba also revealed he is considering returning to school. Per the Daily Mail, he said he sometimes feels unprepared in conversations with political figures, world leaders, or policymakers, describing moments where he felt like an “imposter.” He shared that studying human sciences could help him deepen his understanding and better support the philanthropy and activism work he has taken on in recent years.

Elba made it clear he is not seeking a political career, but he wants to be more informed when stepping into spaces where social impact and global issues are discussed. He explained that, as an actor, he is often invited to major forums or meetings, and he wants to participate with more knowledge rather than relying solely on instinct. He also noted that he has been focusing closely on policy related to media development in Africa, sharing that he sees significant potential for growth across news, fashion, and entertainment sectors.

Despite His Long-Term Plans, Elba Still Has Major Projects Ahead

Even as Idris Elba prepares for a future focused on directing, his acting career is far from slowing down. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has officially green-lit another “Luther” film, reuniting Elba with Ruth Wilson as Alice Morgan and Dermot Crowley as Martin Schenk for the first time since 2013. Production begins in February.

Elba is also returning to Apple TV for season two of “Hijack.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new season premieres Jan. 14, 2026, with returning cast members and several new additions joining the tense, week-by-week rollout.

Outside of acting, Elba recently completed another directorial project, the upcoming Apple film “This Is How It Goes,” shot in Ghana and adapted from a Neil LaBute play through a fresh cultural lens. And while he’s preparing audiences for his eventual creative shift, Elba made it clear that acting still holds a deep place in his life, saying, “I love it still, but directing allows me to flex slightly different muscles.”

Jamie Lee Curtis Reveals Why She Plans to Retire Soon:

Jamie Lee Curtis is being refreshingly honest about her plans to retire. The “Freakier Friday” Star says she is getting ready to step away from acting when the time feels right.

Curtis, 67, spoke with People at the December 9 premiere of her new film, “Ella McCay,” in Los Angeles, where she admitted that retirement is something she often thinks about.

“I am done self-retiring. But no, of course I’ll retire,” the Oscar-winning star said. She pointed to her recent interview with the Today show’s Willie Geist, where she acknowledged she has “probably claimed retirement four times” before.

She added that her earlier comments were missing context. “What he didn’t use was the example I was giving was my parents. So what he didn’t use was the context of that statement,” she explained.

She Reflects on Her Parents Losing Opportunities as They Aged

Curtis said her perspective on retirement comes from watching her parents, actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, face dwindling opportunities as they grew older.

“The context of that statement was I watched my parents, who loved this industry, who were mega stars. I’m a little minor twilight,” she said.

“They were mega, mega in their era, and they were denied access to the very thing they loved to do, which was the movies, acting in the movies. And I watched both of them lose that life force because of aging and just getting older. They just didn’t have those opportunities, and it was heartbreaking.”

Leigh died in 2004 at 77, and Tony died in 2010 at 85.

Curtis has often spoken about how their struggles in their final years influenced the way she thinks about aging and longevity in Hollywood.

Curtis Wants to Leave on Her Own Terms

Curtis said her interest in retiring comes from wanting to step away on her own terms rather than wait for the industry to decide for her.

“The whole reason I’ve talked about self-retiring is, I’m going to leave before you don’t ask me to come anymore,” she told People. “That’s the point. I’m going to step away before you no longer go, ‘Hey, Jamie, come here.’”

“Because it’s too humiliating for me,” she added. “And I was raised around it, and therefore I felt like I want to take advantage of the opportunities that I have and then always have one foot out the door.”

She echoed the same thought in her recent Today interview, where she said she wants to “get out before you no longer ask me to be in.”

She Is Grateful for Success Later in Life

Even with retirement on her mind, Curtis said her recent success has made this stage of her career feel especially meaningful.

When Geist mentioned how much acclaim she has received in the past few years, she agreed. “There’s nothing about it that isn’t just feeling perfect. I’m so happy it’s happening now at my age. I’m trying to make sure I check my boxes off before I go, but I’m having a really good time. It’s awesome.”

Curtis walked the “Ella McCay” red carpet with her husband, Christopher Guest. The film arrives in theaters December 12.

Movie fans couldn’t get enough of Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games,” and now they’ll get a chance to see the actor in a whole chapter. As The Hollywood Reporter shared in December 2025, the actor is among many talented stars who will join the franchise for an upcoming film. “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” is a prequel to the existing films, which Lionsgate will release in November 2026. While details on the film are still emerging, fans are undoubtedly excited about the first “The Hunger Games” film in a decade.

The last “Hunger Games” film hit theaters in 2015, leaving fans waiting ten years for another installment. After the announcement of the prequel hit social media, fans were quick to voice their happiness about the upcoming release. “I’m seated,” one particularly excited fan wrote on X in response to the announcement. “The theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because ‘Sunrise on the Reaping hasn’t even officially wrapped yet,’ But I’m simply too seated.”

The announcement itself garnered over 100,000 likes on X, and many other fans shared similar sentiments about the wonderful news. “The Hunger Games movie is going to be amazing!! Look at this cast!” another wrote. In addition to Lawrence, fans can expect to see Josh Hutcherson reprise his beloved role.

The Actor Previously Expressed Interest in Returning to the Franchise

This prequel film isn’t just welcome news to fans; it’s also something the franchise’s biggest stars have wanted. In November 2025, Hutcherson told Variety that he would be interested in returning for another “Hunger Games” installment. “It would not take any convincing at all,” he said of rejoining the franchise. “I’d be there in a heartbeat.” In particular, he noted that he would enjoy working with director Francis Lawrence again, who will also be at the helm of “Sunrise on the Reaping.”

In her own Variety interview from 2023, Lawrence shared similar feelings. “Oh, my God – totally!” she said when asked if she’d like to reprise her iconic role. “If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.” Both actors have gotten their wish, but they aren’t the only familiar faces fans can look forward to seeing next November. The stacked cast also includes Glenn Close, Maya Hawke, Ralph Fiennes, Kieran Culkin, Jesse Plemons, and Elle Fanning.

Stevie Nicks is a living legend! The Fleetwood Mac icon recently took to the stage, giving fans a scare after she seemingly forgot the lyrics to her beloved hit “Landslide.”

Stevie Nicks Seemingly Forgets ‘Landslide’ Lyrics

A clip of the 77-year-old singer quickly went viral after one concertgoer shared a video from a recent show.

“Why are you crying?” the fan wrote over a clip of Nicks on stage. “Bc Stevie Nicks started forgetting the lyrics to ‘Landslide’ and pointed to her head during ‘I’m getting older too.'”

Fans were quick to show their support for the beloved artist in the comments section of the post, which was shared via Instagram on Tuesday, December 9.

“Just to lighten the mood- 25 yr olds forget their own songs too, it could’ve just been a mistake and the pointing at her head could’ve been a joke,” one user commented.

Another fan wrote, “I saw her in concert last week. She didn’t forget any lyrics but still pointed to her head when she said this. Don’t be too concerned.”

“She stumbled on ONE word, she’s fine. Everyone needs to calm down!!!” a third chimed in.

“I saw her in October and she was absolutely incredible,” another fan added.

One emotional fan responded, writing, “I hope she knows how many of us she’s healed through her music.”

Stevie Nicks Has No Plans to Retire

The Grammy Award winner previously opened up about continuing to make music while she’s still healthy enough to do so.

“Well, if I can stay looking pretty good… When I think that it’s age inappropriate, I won’t do it anymore,” Nicks told Rolling Stone in October 2024. “But then I think I would just bring the shows down. I’d be happy to tour all the beautiful gothic theaters of the United States and Europe, and do two hours and be able to sit in a chair for some of it. Do some songs in my whole catalog that I’ve always wanted to do and never done.”

She continued, “If I’m still alive and healthy, there’s no reason for me to stop doing what I do, because I love it and this was my mission.”

The one thing Nicks will likely never do, however, is tour with the Hall of Fame band Fleetwood Mac after the passing of beloved Christine McVie.

“Without Christine, no can do,” she told Mojo in June 2024. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”

A-list actress Glenn Close, 78, has enjoyed a remarkable career in Hollywood. However, she admits there’s a surprising regret in her life that has nothing to do with her over five decades in film and television.

In a recent conversation with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the actress revealed that she once missed a chance to pursue a romance with the iconic actor Robert Redford, a moment she realized could have led to something more.

Actress Glenn Close recently opened up about her romantic history, including reflecting on her three marriages that shaped her life and career, and shared a surprising missed moment with the late, great Robert Redford, who passed away in September at the age of 89.

Opening up on the “Wiser Than Me With Julia Louis-Dreyfus” podcast, Close detailed that Redford was pursuing her after the two starred in the 1984 baseball drama “The Natural.” However, Close didn’t read the signs, missing her chance at a romance with the A-lister.

“After we did ‘The Natural,’ Robert Redford invited me to a very romantic restaurant where we had dinner together,” she shared. “And I was too clueless and unknowing and unsure to even consider that I might have dated him. But he found Billy [Sibylle Szaggars, his widow]. But, yeah… It’s just because I didn’t know. I didn’t get it.”

In fact, while appearing on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” in January, Close revealed that her favorite on-screen kiss was with Redford, despite only getting “to kiss him once.”

As Close mentioned in her conversation, Redford would go on to wed German visual artist and environmental activist Sibylle ‘Billy’ Szaggars in 2009, and was married to her until his death this year. Before marrying Szaggars, Redford was married to Lola Van Wagenen from 1958 until their divorce in 1985. The former couple had four children.

Close Opened up About Her Three Marriages

During their conversation, Close also reflected on her three marriages, candidly admitting that she carries regrets about those chapters in her life.

“I’ve been married three times and I shouldn’t have married any of them. But I had an empty tool box, so I’ve had to try to fill that tool box – as far as human relations and certainly relationships in a marriage – with nothing as a model,” she shared.

The “Fatal Attraction” star added, “So I’ve made a lot of mistakes. It was sad that I was so unknowing. I always chose the wrong man.”

Taking a deep dive into her three marriages, Close had a short-lived first marriage to guitarist Cabot Wade from 1969 to 1971. She later married businessman James Marlas from 1984 to 1987. Her third and final marriage was to David Shaw, whom she was married to from 2006 to 2015.

Close has not been involved with anyone since her amicable split from Shaw 10 years ago. While appearing on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in January, when the host asked Close if she “approached a relationship since divorce,” Close gave a solid “no,” adding, “I don’t know. I mean, I’m always up for anything, but I’m very happy right now.”

When asked if Close had ever tried dating apps, she joked, “Are you crazy?”

She added, “I’m not searching. Because I’m actually — I’m not a hugely comfortably social person, so I don’t leap to go to a party at all. So yeah, I’m okay.”
