Katie Holmes Reunites With Joshua Jackson in Charming Behind-the-Scenes Photos

It’s nostalgia galore for “Dawson’s Creek” fans as their ’90s TV sweethearts Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes were spotted together! The duo continues to keep fans entertained with behind-the-scenes glimpses from their upcoming movie trilogy, “Happy Hours,” and surprisingly, their latest shoot included a subtle nod to Taylor Swift.

As per photos published by US Weekly, Jackson, 47, and Holmes, 46, were in high spirits as they filmed in New York City’s Greenwich Village on December 3. The scene unfolded just steps from Swift’s famed former townhouse on Cornelia Street, the address she immortalized on her “Lover” album.

A Closer Look at the ‘Happy Hours’ Trilogy and Its Ensemble Cast

In one photo, Jackson stood outside the building, wearing an unbuttoned long-sleeve shirt and a messenger bag across his chest.

Holmes joined him in loose waves and a long-sleeve button-down as the pair filmed a light, flirty moment for the cameras.

Holmes and Jackson first reunited earlier this year to film “Happy Hours,” a trilogy that follows two people who reconnect as adults while navigating careers, family responsibilities, and the pursuit of love.

Deadline described it as “a character-driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of young lovers who reconnect as adults, with the connective thread of shared joys, loss, and hope.”

The cast also includes Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., and Nathan Darrow. Johnna Dias-Watson and Jack Martin portray the younger versions of Holmes and Jackson’s characters.

A Reunion Decades After ‘Dawson’s Creek’

Holmes and Jackson first shared the screen on “Dawson’s Creek,” which ran from 1998 to 2003 and followed the tight-knit group of friends played by Jackson, Holmes, James Van Der Beek, and Michelle Williams. Their chemistry as Joey Potter and Pacey Witter quickly became a cornerstone of the series.

Their on-screen romance soon carried into real life during the first season. Holmes addressed the relationship in a 1998 Rolling Stone interview, saying, “I’m just going to say that I met somebody last year. I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always.”

She noted that the relationship ended, but the friendship stayed, explaining she was “best friends” with her ex.

Without naming Jackson, she added, “He’s been in the business so long, and he’s really helped me.”

More than two decades after the teen drama ended, Jackson reflected on his bond with Holmes and their former castmates during an April episode of the “Dinner’s on Me With Jesse Tyler Ferguson” podcast.

“Busy [Philipps] and Michelle are very, very close, and Katie and I are very close,” he said. “It’s not a daily call.”

He continued, “Sometimes it’s not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call. But when you’re together, A) there’s always that, like, I know you know. And B), these moments, like, these major moments in life are, like, other than your husband, there’s probably no other people in your life that you are that forged to ‘cause you had to go through good and bad, and happy and ‘f*** you,’ and don’t talk to me and I love you. … But life happens.”

Now, years later, their sweet on-set reunion proved that their connection remains as effortless as ever!
