A new reality television series will debut on Hallmark+ in the new year, and it’s already stirring up plenty of buzz. TLC singer Chilli, whose real name is Rozonda Thomas, is co-hosting with her real-life beau, “Boy Meets World” and “Mrs. Doubtfire” alum Matthew Lawrence.
Matthew Lawrence & Chilli Co-Host ‘Second Chance Love’
A press release sent by Hallmark via email on December 4 reveals that Lawrence and Chilli will co-host a new series titled “Second Chance Love.” The show debuts on Hallmark+ on January 1, 2026, and was filmed in Sardinia, Italy.
The show will feature five couples who dated once upon a time, but went their separate ways. The contestants cast for the show are young and old, some in their 30s and some in their 70s. Their “second chance to reconnect with the one who got away” comes anywhere from five to 40 years after the pair’s first romance.
During the journey on the show, the pairs will spend two weeks together to see if they can rekindle the spark they once had. Their experience will include “nostalgia, emotional reflection, and intimate dates” as the contestants “revisit their pasts, confront unfinished business, and rediscover what once brought them together.”
Hallmark suggests that their upcoming dating show will be different in an important way from those done by other outlets. The network explains that they will document the couples navigating their journey “only in the way Hallmark can, with heartfelt emotion, authentic connection, and just a touch of magic.”
People Are Eager to Watch the Upcoming New Show
Chilli shared via the Hallmark press release that doing the show with the network is “a dream come true.” She believes that Hallmark “represents good quality content,” and she loves what the network stands for. She and Lawrence are not only co-hosts of “Second Chance Love,” but they are also executive producers.
The buzz surrounding the announcement of “Second Chance Love” seems to be quite positive.
On Instagram, one person commented, “If you don’t stop it! It’s just so cute you two! LOVE IT! You know I’m watching.”
Another gushed, “The perfect choice for hosts!! Can’t wait to watch! Those matching outfits are too cute Chilli & Matt.”
“Dang am I going to have to get hallmark plus? …. Again,” questioned someone else.
“Might watch it only because they’re hosting,” admitted an additional fan.
Hallmark star Holly Robinson Peete showed her support by liking the Instagram post announcing “Second Chance Love,” as did former Hallmark star Candace Cameron Bure.
As People noted, Chilli and Lawrence went “Instagram Official” with their romance in 2022. This Hallmark+ show is their first professional project together.
