Third-Place Contestant Debbie Siebers Predicts Mel Owens’ Likely Winner on ‘The Golden Bachelor’

“The Golden Bachelor” season 2, starring Mel Owens, is quickly coming to an end as the former NFL star has narrowed the contestants down to his final two women. After visiting hometowns on the Oct. 22 episode, Owens chose to move forward with Cindy Cullers, 60, and Peg Munson, 62, and had to say a heartfelt goodbye to Debbie Siebers, 65.

With Cindy and Peg being total opposites, Siebers shared her take on who she truly believes will win over Owens’ heart in the very end.

It’s hometowns’ week, and Mel’s journey takes him across the country.

Unfortunately, Debbie Siebers was not given a rose by Mel Owens after hometowns’ week. Still, in a recent interview with Parade, she shared the woman she strongly believes will capture his heart at the finale.

“They’re so different,” Siebers said of Cindy Cullers and Peg Munson. When describing Munson, Siebers shared that the burst of energy viewers saw on their screens of the former firefighter was the real deal. “She’d be the first to bolt out of bed [in the Bachelor house] at 5 a.m., and she’s already in the jacuzzi and working out, and she’s very fun,” she said.

As for Cullers, she is a lot more reserved, with Siebers stating that she “is just so calming to be around. She’s got this demeanor. Even when she was cooking in the kitchen, she’s just got this calmness and ease about her.”

But who does Siebers really think will ultimately get a proposal out of Owens? “Peg really brings the fun out of him and I think because of all the mantras and the toasts that he always did was to love happiness and fun. And I think he’s looking for that lightheartedness and fun, nothing too heavy but just somebody who’s going to make him come out of himself a little bit more. So I think it might be Peg.”

What To Know About Peg Munson

It’s hometowns’ week, and Mel’s journey takes him across the country to see his final three women.

Munson quickly became a fan-favorite on “The Golden Bachelor” thanks to her full-of-life personality and spontaneity. She left a lasting impression on Owens right from the very start after stepping out of the limo in a bombsuit. Munson used to work as a firefighter and bomb technician in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Munson earned her first one-on-one date with Owens in episode 4, and the two went to the Orange County Fair, where Owens shared that he admired Munson’s “high level of energy.” It was clear that Munson had a way of getting the playful side out of Owens and made him feel young again. Who doesn’t want that?

During hometowns week, Owens got the chance to meet Munson’s only daughter, Dakota, from her first and only marriage. Although she hit him with a few tough questions, he admired Dakota’s strong bond with her mother and wanted to protect her heart.

With Munson and Culler being polar opposites, it’s hard to predict who Owens will ultimately choose on “The Golden Bachelor.”
