Millie Bobby Brown has a new name!
The star of “Stranger Things” made the change after marrying Jake Bongiovi over a year ago.
The actress revealed the update during a light-hearted moment with her co-star Noah Schnapp, confirming that her full legal name is now Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.
In a playful interview segment, Schnapp was asked: “What is Millie’s full name?”
After a few incorrect guesses, Brown cut in, saying: “Drop the Bobby [and] drop the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.”
This marks her first official name change since tying the knot.
The 21-year-old and Bongiovi — son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi — first married in a private ceremony in May 2024, after three years of dating.
The couple held a second, more lavish ceremony in Italy months later.
A New Chapter: Name, Marriage — and Parenthood
The name change comes as part of what’s become a major life shift for Brown.
In August 2025, she and Bongiovi quietly welcomed an adopted baby girl, announcing the news on social media while asking for privacy as they embarked on parenthood.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the statement read. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
The couple have not revealed their daughter’s name, though a pink phone case spotted in public — with the letters “R,” “W,” and “B” — sparked fan speculation.
With the name change, Brown seems to be embracing this new chapter in full: as a wife, a mom, and Milie Bonnie Bongiovi — not the stage-named actress many fans first fell in love with.
Brown Gushes About Being a Mom
While Brown and her husband are notouriously private, she has mentioned her daughter a couple times while promoting the new season of “Stranger Things.”
She told British Vogue in the December 2025 issue that she wants to protect her daughter.
“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” she said.
The 21-year-old added that ultimately her daughter will decide if she wants to step into the spotlight when she is older.
“If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support. But right now, as she’s so little—as her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that,” she added.
While her daughter is still a baby, she has already managed to crash one of Brown’s interviews. In a cute moment, while the actress played with kittens, a cry could be heard off camera.
“That’s my child. … That’s my kitten,” she said as she briefly laughed at the moment.
