When “Wednesday” actress Gwendoline Christie showed up for The Fashion Awards 2025 held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday, December 1, she slayed a long black jacket along with a crisp white shirt underneath. That’s not to mention her black pants, heels and purse. Of course, that’s not what created a buzz among her fans. The most eye-catching aspect of Christie’s look was definitely her massive hairstyle.
Worn in a sort of updo, Christie’s hair (or wig?) almost swirled around her head while managing to reach an impressive size. With a range of blonde tones, the somewhat messy hairstyle was practically mesmerizing.

When British Vogue shared a video featuring Christie (and her hair) on Instagram, plenty of people left comments noting how intrigued they were by the look.
One person wrote, “Absolutely YES”
“Love it and love her,” another person added.
A third person wrote, “She is such a queen 👸 🙌🏻”
“Wooow 😍 So beautiful 💛,” came from another fan of both the actress and her look.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “HOW DOES THIS WOMAN MAKE LITERALLY ANYTHING LOOK AMAZING!?!!!😍😍😩😩😩🤌🤌😅”
One cheeky person added, “Maybe her hair isn’t big, maybe ours is small.”
Gwendoline is ‘Incredibly Experimental’ When It Comes to Beauty
GettyWhen it comes to Christie’s hair, she has help crafting her style. The actress met celebrity colorist Josh Wood in 2018, after she finished her work on “Game of Thrones,” according to Harper’s Bazaar. He explained, “Gwendoline’s hair was very short and very bleached.”
At the same time, the actress noted, “I wanted hair that felt closer to my natural color and more authentically ‘me’; hair that would allow me to express myself and experiment with different looks.”
Working with Christie’s stylist, Jerry Stafford, Wood was behind the star’s looks for various industry events, saying, “Gwendoline’s incredibly experimental with her approach to both beauty and fashion and is constantly pushing me creatively. She brings her own ideas, so it’s a wonderfully collaborative process. She’s also got a wicked sense of humor. We can find a joke in every sentence, which makes it brilliant fun.”
She also said, “I feel very lucky to be in Josh’s orbit. He’s a brilliant listener, he’s incredibly generous with his time, and when he shines his light on you, you feel like he truly sees you. He’s given me the gift of self-acceptance and has helped me to feel beautiful.”
