CNN political contributor Scott Jennings bravely offered to apologize to Hollywood power-couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas regarding a debate he had with their son last month, per The Daily Mail.
According to the UK publication, Dylan Douglas appeared on CNN to debate politics, but didn’t feel good about how the moment played out. Now, Jennings has gone on Megan McCain’s podcast, Citizen McCain, to address the incident.
“I’m more than willing to apologize personally to Catherine Zeta-Jones over a nice seafood dinner if she wants to do it,” Jennings told McCain. He then added some kind words about Zeta-Jones’s son: “Actually, I have to say Dylan was really nice off the air. I think he was honored to be there.” Jennings even said he hoped Dylan would return to CNN at a later date.

Although he’s semi-retired, Douglas is still bringing his sparkle to the screen. In 2024, he starred in an Apple TV+ miniseries called “Franklin,” in which he played Benjamin Franklin just prior to the Revolutionary War.
Now, Douglas says he’ll only return to acting “if something special came up,” according to Variety. This likely gives him more time to spend with his beautiful family.
