Netflix reality TV star Jessica Vestal, known for her iconic speech during the “Love Is Blind” season six pod portion, is recovering after a recent hospitalization, according to E! News.
Both Jessica and her daughter got the flu, which the influencer made sure not to minimize. According to E!, she wrote on her Instagram story, “I’ve never been so sick in my entire life and that’s saying A LOT.”
Jessica has some preexisting conditions, per E!, that potentially worsened her case of the viral infection. She has Crohn’s, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the digestive tract. “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson also has Crohn’s.
Going to the hospital was important for Jessica to recover, as she wrote that because of Crohn’s, “It’s a lot harder for my body to fight off literally anything and I get dehydrated extremely fast.”
“After a long trip to the ER, 4.5 bags of fluids and meds, and lots of prayer later… I’m on the mend! But wow that was scary and made me never want to take my health for granted again,” she added, per E!
As for her daughter, Autumn, she not only had the flu, but also strep throat. Luckily, Jessica said her daughter recovered quickly.
The pair’s illnesses meant they couldn’t celebrate Thanksgiving the traditional way, but Jessica still managed to fell gratitude. In an Instagram fee post, she wrote, “I’m so grateful for God, my baby, my weenie dog, my family and the most beautiful friends, and this very loving, supportive community on here.”

Jessica tried to find love on Netflix, and she formed a serious connection with Jimmy Presnell. Unfortunately, he opted to propose to Chelsea Blackwell instead. The breakup prompted Jessica to launch into what is now one of the most iconic moments in “Love Is Blind” history.
“When you see and realize what you missed out on, you are going to choke. You’re going to choke. You are going to need your EpiPen to open up your airways because you are going to be in disbelief of what you missed out on,” she told her ex from behind a wall.
Jessica may not have found love on “Love Is Blind,” but she definitely made a name for herself.

While she didn’t make it very far on the show, she did date Harry Jowsey after filming, according to ScreenRant. They eventually broke up, and Jessica is currently single.
