Millie Bobby Brown Shares the Handmade Gift She Created for the ‘Stranger Things’ Cast

Millie Bobby Brown said she wanted the final days on the set of “Stranger Things” to feel personal, so she spent the night before the show’s last table read making friendship bracelets for the entire cast. Brown spoke about the gesture during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Dec. 7.

The Netflix series, which began in 2016, turned its young ensemble into globally recognized stars. With production ending on the fifth and final season, Brown said she hoped to give her co-stars something that captured what they all experienced together.

A Handmade Farewell

Brown said she teamed up with Noah Schnapp to make about 30 bracelets for the cast members. Each bracelet carried charms they chose to reflect the personality of the person receiving it, she said. Brown described the project as a late-night effort that became emotional once they arrived at the table read.

“We didn’t sit at a table. We sat on couches, and we just cried for basically two hours straight,” she said, according to People. Many of the actors were children when they first auditioned for the series, and Brown said the bracelets represented nearly a decade of shared memories and growth.

Brown said the cast grew close over the years. She said their friendships extended beyond filming, press events, and award seasons. The bracelets felt like a natural way to honor that bond.

A Surprise Moment on the Show

During her interview, Brown also gave Fallon a sentimental keepsake connected to her character, Eleven. She presented him with the bracelet that appears in the show’s second season. In the series, it began as a hair tie that once belonged to the late daughter of Chief Hopper, Eleven’s father figure.

Brown told Fallon she wanted to thank him for supporting her throughout her career. Fallon appeared visibly moved by the gesture. Brown said giving the bracelet to him felt fitting because he had interviewed her through many key moments of her life and career, from childhood to early adulthood.

A Cast that Grew Up Together

Brown has often said the “Stranger Things” cast feels like a family. Several actors spent their adolescence filming the series, navigating school, fame, and industry pressures while working closely together. The final season’s ending, she said, made the group reflect on the years they shared as co-stars and friends.

As the series prepares to close out its run, Brown’s handmade gifts carry the weight of a long chapter coming to a close. The bracelets serve not as souvenirs from a set, but as reminders of a show that shaped their lives both on and off screen.
