A career as a DJ is gaining popularity among the “Real Housewives.” On Oct. 22, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne announced on Instagram that the next big move in her music career is becoming a DJ, and her official DJ name? DJ Pretty Mess.
However, Erika is not trying to steal RHOSLC’s Meredith Marks’ thunder by entering her DJ chapter. The reality TV star is no stranger to the DJ scene, first spinning at Coachella for Moschino in 2018.
Erika Jayne Announces New Career Move: Introducing DJ Pretty Mess
GettyErika Jayne has always been a performer, so it’s no surprise she’s exploring a new side to her musical passion, this time, trading the microphone for the DJ decks.
The “Real Housewives” star shared her latest music career venture with her fans on Instagram. In her lengthy post, Erika stated how she found herself itching to get back into DJing after having her last experience in 2019.
“Music has always been my constant — my first love, my escape, my heartbeat. From performing as a singer, dancer, and actress growing up, to legendary nights in New York City in the late ’80s, crate-digging for vinyls and losing myself in the underground club scene — that’s where the spark truly began,” she began.
“Years later, I created Erika Jayne, took my own music to stages across the globe— from clubs & festivals all around the world to the Las Vegas Strip for my very own residency— and lived every beat of it.”
Erika went on to share that she first “stepped behind the decks officially” in 2018 at Coachella for Jeremy Scott x Moschino. The following year, the reality star headlined her own party at Coachella for her ShoeDazzle collaboration.
She ended her post with, “Six years later, that spark is burning bright again. I’m back at the decks… and back to where it all started. Introducing DJ Pretty Mess — fueled by the same love for music that’s always been in my soul.”
On the DJ Pretty Mess Instagram account, Erika already shared a flyer for her first DJ event. The star will be spinning at Gay Pride Saturday, held at Hotel Zoso, in Palm Springs, California, on Nov. 8.
