Austen Kroll is opening up about the behind-the-scenes conversations that shaped his breakup with Audrey Pratt — and he says his ex-girlfriend Madison LeCroy played a surprising role in helping him figure things out.
The “Southern Charm” star reflected on the end of his relationship during the “It’s All About to Go South” panel at BravoCon 2025 on Sunday, November 16. Kroll revealed that viewers will watch the breakup unfold during “Southern Charm” season 11, which premiered on Wednesday, November 19, on Bravo.
Austen Kroll Says Madison LeCroy Helped Him Navigate His Relationship
Kroll told fans that when filming began, he and Pratt had already been together for about a year and a half — and conversations about the future started getting real.
“When cameras picked up, we’d been dating for about a year and a half at that point,” Kroll explained. “And so, questions begin to come up about like, ‘Hey, what does the future look like?’ And in my opinion, I just think it’s a normal look at like, ‘OK, what is the next step?’”
To figure that out, he said he turned to the people who know him best — including LeCroy, who is now married and a mom of two.
“Of course, I open up to my friends about it and to my family about it,” Kroll continued. “I open up to my mom about it. I open up to Madison about it, because she knows me pretty damn well and can tell me things that I suck at, which I appreciate.”
Fans already got a preview of that dynamic in the season 11 trailer, where LeCroy questions whether Kroll might simply be “bored” in the relationship.
“Me and Audrey, not going to lie, it’s been easy,” Kroll told LeCroy in the clip.
“Do you feel like you’re bored?” she shot back.
The ‘Southern Charm’ Stars Reflect on Their Friendship Today
Later at BravoCon, Kroll and LeCroy also spoke about their current friendship during the “Unexpected Duos” panel. LeCroy joked that “almost everything” Kroll does makes her crazy, but she still values the closeness they’ve rebuilt.
“Him and Craig [Conover] drive me up the wall,” LeCroy said. “The friendship, it’s like, it’s intense. And Austen doesn’t listen to me very often, clearly, so.”
Kroll didn’t argue. “I have annoying tendencies,” he admitted. “My worst quality is loving Craig through it all. Best quality? I think I’m pretty damn funny. Madison and I can make each other laugh and she cannot deny that.”
Despite breaking up in 2020, LeCroy and Kroll remain firmly in each other’s lives. LeCroy recently shared on Instagram a screenshot of a photo Salley Carson sent her from a night out with Kroll. LeCroy replied with her own cocktail selfie, joking, “Looks like I’m the third wheel even from afar.”
“I miss y’all,” she added, tagging both Carson and Kroll and writing “BFFL.”

Audrey is better off without him.
