Jenny Marrs Explains Why the Message Is So Meaningful
On September 29, Marrs took to Instagram to share the reason behind the verse she selected for her book.
She noted in the caption: “About two months ago, I prayed over which verse to include as I signed preordered copies of my book. I was honest with God asking, ‘What can I offer this hurting world? My words, my story, feel ‘not enough’ now. The world is aching more than ever … ‘
Marrs continued, “He led me to Psalm 39:7. And, as I sign copies to be shipped out for next week’s launch and write this verse over and over again, my weary heart is receiving His word in a fresh way. He knew the verse wouldn’t be for the masses, it would be for me. 🤍”
She included a video of her drawing a heart and signing “Jenny,” then writing “Psalm 39:7.”
“And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.”
Fans lit up the comments section to share their excitement over her book release, with one person noting, “Lovely Jenny. May hope rise in every heart that reads your book.”

HGTV Star Shares the Touching Reason She Wrote a Book
On August 25, Marrs took to Instagram to share why she decided to write the book, noting in the caption: “Exodus 10:2 is underlined, starred and highlighted in my Bible. I love my NLT translation: ‘You will be able to tell wonderful stories to your children and grandchildren about the marvelous things I am doing (among the Egyptians) to prove that I am Lord.'”
The HGTV star continued, “This morning, as I read these ancient words, a little over a month before my book — Trust God, Love People — launches into the world, I felt an immense peace.”
Marrs explained how telling her story had everything to do with her kids. “After all, the reason I wrote all of these stories down was for my children to have a record of God’s faithfulness to our family. I wanted them to have a hardback, black-and-white, printed testimony for themselves and for their own kids to read someday,” she noted.
