The premiere of Season 6 of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is just hours away, and it seems that a few cast members are trying to shift the narrative in advance. The press release that dropped ahead of the premiere teased several explosive storylines to come. One was a bad business deal that took a toll on Whitney Rose’s marriage to her husband, Justin.
Whitney Rose shared a quick tease of the new season and an update on her marriage with USA Today.
Whitney Rose Is Still Struggling With Her Business Deals
BravoBravo’s official RHOSLC press release teased a “failed” business venture for Whitney and Justin, and the reality star spoke to USA Today about the situation.
“We tried to do a venture together, and unfortunately, it failed. Like in any business, you have ups and downs, and I share what’s really going on in my life. It’s hard, but I share it all, and it’s actually, from what I’ve seen so far, it’s beautiful to watch.”
Whitney didn’t give details, but earlier this year it was revealed that Wild Rose Beauty had been rebranded and would be sold exclusively by Sōl People. Not long after that announcement, Whitney then said that she was “no longer [a part]” of Sōl People and that Wild Rose Beauty was “not done,” after all.
This wasn’t the first time that Whitney’s business dealings have rocked the couple. At one point she admitted to pouring over $300,000 into her beauty company, and ultimately lost their life savings.
Business Is a Mess, But Marriage Is Good
BravoAs far as their marriage goes, Whitney said, “We’re good. We’re working through it. [I’m] still married.”
Whitney told USA Today that while her marriage to Justin is going well, there are some scenes that she hopes won’t make the final cut.
“I think that this season, though, I was so authentic, I think it’s the most authentic I’ve ever been, and I keep it real always. So that says a lot. So for me it’s more of a cathartic situation. But there are some moments that I’m like, ‘Oh no, I hope that hits the editing floor. I don’t want to see that. I don’t want to relive that.’ But we’ll see,” says Whitney.
The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” season six premieres on Tuesday, September 16, on Bravo.
