Heather Gay Spent a Staggering Six-Figure Sum on Cosmetic Work — ‘Worth Every Penny’

Heather Gay is pulling back the curtain on every cosmetic procedure, beauty treatment, and glow-up moment she’s invested in — and she’s not holding anything back. As “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” continues airing season 6, the 51-year-old reality star is opening up about her long journey with injectables, surgery, weight loss medication, and the costs behind her transformation.

In a new article published by Bustle on Wednesday, Nov. 13, Gay shared the full number she estimates she’s spent on her appearance: at least $200,000. And as she put it, it was “worth every penny.”

Heather Gay Breaks Down Every Cosmetic Procedure in Candid Interview

The RHOSLC star told Bustle that investing in her appearance became part of her job once she joined reality TV, and she approached it with full honesty. “As soon as I had the money and the time, I thought: ‘I am going to try to profit from every single thing that’s available to me. I can afford it, and it’s part of my job now to look good,’” Gay said. “I always said that I’d be so much cuter if I were richer. I’m richer now — and I’m so much cuter because of it.”

Gay, who co-owns Beauty Lab + Laser, shared that she has been getting Botox quarterly since her 30s. She also regularly maintains fillers, facials, and twice-a-year laser hair removal. Her lip filler routine has remained consistent for around seven years, and she has also incorporated Sculptra — a collagen stimulator — into her regimen.

“Another treatment I get is Sculptra, which is a collagen stimulator, with big long needles on your face. It’s pretty intense, but it’s not an actual filler; it’s just a filler stimulant,” Gay told Bustle. “Sculptra is $800 to $1,000 for a vial, and some people get four to six vials. It can cost around $4,000 per treatment.”

Gay also revealed she underwent two nose jobs before joining “The Real Housewives” in 2020, along with a blepharoplasty. “I got both of these surgeries for free, from the same surgeon, but I think the nose job was around $12,000, and a blepharoplasty was $2,500,” she shared.

She added that her then-husband, Frank William “Billy” Gay III, paid for a “mommy makeover” — a tummy tuck and breast augmentation — before their 2014 divorce.

Weight Loss Medication, Veneers, and Why She Says It All Matters

Gay explained that over the past three years she has lost 30 pounds using weight-loss medication and continues to use GLP-1s as needed. She estimates the treatment costs at least $500 a month. To finish her “fourth season glow-up,” the RHOSLC star invested around $30,000 in veneers, explaining that looking “perfect” is seen as part of the job in reality television.

“I think there should be no shame in people wanting to change the way they look, but I also see that the standard of beauty has become more and more artificial for women,” Gay told Bustle. “Being on TV, it’s really, really hard to see yourself constantly and to be amongst women who are physically flawless in every way.”

“Everyone has perfect teeth, lashes, and hair,” she said. “It’s what I call the required uniform of a Housewife — and as you become more of a Housewife, it becomes more entrenched.”

New episodes of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” air Tuesday nights on Bravo.

All three episodes of season 1 of “Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay” are now streaming on Peacock.
