“Truth Hurts” singer Lizzo, 37, is standing up for herself and staying positive after noticing a “fat joke” about her went viral. The music star reacted to the incident in the best way possible: by dropping a gorgeous selfie showing off her banging bikini body.

Lizzo Stays Strong & Positive
Lizzo, who recently showed off a major fitness transformation back in September, began the caption of her post by lamenting that anyone in 2025 would think to make a “fat joke.” She then explained the joke “was viral,” before saying, “It was a dumb joke and they were just laughing at me because I’m fat.”
But Lizzo stood strong against the online troll, telling her fans, “Let me be a reminder to everyone to NEVER let anyone shame you for what you choose to do with your body.” The Grammy winner went on to say people will talk about you regardless of your size. She finished the inspiring message by declaring, “Your body will never be good enough for them because it’s not FOR them. It’s for you.”
Fans stood by the popstar in her comments. One wrote, “Girl who is it because I have free time today!”
Another chimed in, “No matter what you do, they will always have something to say! Do you!”
YouTuber and media personality Trisha Paytas also hopped into the comments to say, “You look insanely amazing. People don’t want to see anyone doing good these days.” Paytas has documented her own body transformation, transparently trying various eating plans and opening up about her liposuction experience in a 2017 video.

This Is Not Lizzo’s First Sizzling Bikini Shot
Lizzo is not new to joyfully posting confident pics. Over the summer, she modeled for her own shapewear line, Yitty. The brand also makes intimates, loungewear, and swim. One video she shared in a pink two-piece and an array of other suits had fans praising her un-retouched realness. “It’s so refreshing to see a real body online,” wrote one fan, before adding a sobbing emoji.
“I love that she is showing us the changes of a real body,” wrote another.
More recently, she posed for Yitty’s holiday collection in a plush red lounge set. “Lizzo in that red is just stunning,” was one fan’s reaction.
