Sharon Osbourne is opening up for the first time about her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s final moments, sharing the memories with clarity and a whole lot of heart. The Black Sabbath legend died in July at age 76 after a heart attack at their Buckinghamshire home, only weeks after what became his final performance.
Ozzy’s Premonition: Dreams of People Before His Death
GettySpeaking with Piers Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” the former reality TV star said she believed Ozzy had a quiet sense that his time was approaching. “He had told me that he was having dreams in the last week of his life. He was seeing people that he never knew,” she recalled.
When she gently asked who he was seeing, Ozzy told her, “All different people. And I just keep walking and walking, and I’m seeing all these different people every night, and I go back there, and I’m looking at these people, and they’re looking at me, and nobody’s talking.”
Sharon added softly, “And he knew. He was ready.”
Sharon Ran to Find Medics Trying to Revive Him: ‘I Knew Instantly He’d Gone‘
GettySharon said Ozzy suffered a heart attack that morning. When she heard shouting, she ran downstairs and found medics performing CPR.
“I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone’,” she said. “I knew instantly he’d gone.”
Emergency teams continued their efforts, airlifting Ozzy to the hospital, but nothing worked. “They tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried, and it’s like, ‘He’s gone. Just leave him’.”
His Loving Last Words Came in the Middle of the Night
Sharon described their final night together with a vivid clarity that still haunts her.
“He was up and down to the bathroom all night, and it was like 4.30 and he said, ‘Wake up’. I said, ‘I’m already bloody awake, you’ve woken me up’. And he said, ‘Kiss me’. And then he said, ‘Hug me tight’.”
She admitted she replays that moment constantly. “I can’t help wondering if I should have, could I have? If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter.”
Moments later, Ozzy went downstairs for his usual morning workout.
“He went downstairs, worked out for 20 minutes, and passed away,” she said.
The Osbourne Family Continues to Grieve a Deeply Personal Loss
When Ozzy’s death was announced, the family wrote: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
Months later, Sharon admitted she is “not ok” and continues to navigate life without him.
Fans around the world have poured out tributes, with his home city of Birmingham filling the streets to honor him.
Sharon said Ozzy never fully believed how beloved he was. “He didn’t realise how much he was loved and that was his beauty because he never took it for granted from anyone.”
