Camryn Magness, a pop/rock singer who has performed with One Direction, Fifth Harmony, and Cody Simpson, has passed away. In additon to supporting the previously mentioned acts on tour, Magness also released original music. Now, fans are offering kind words in the wake of her passing. She was 26.
GettyAccording to PEOPLE, Magness passed away on December 5. Her death came after she was involved in an electric scooter crash. Her passing was announced on her official Facebook page.
The post started, “Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, coy, and bright spirit touched so many.”
It continued, “Whether beneath the waves or on stage, she met life with fearless energy and boundless kindness. In the quiet between waves, her memory will surface—bright, bold, unforgotten. Rest in endless blue, our sweet girl. You are deeply loved and forever cherished.”
Camryn Magness Achieved Quite a Bit During Her Career
Magness knew that she wanted to pursue a career in music from an early age. This led her to record a demo at eight and send it to Jeff Pringle, who later became her manager. Later, she recorded the song “Wait and See” with the band Blessed by a Broken Heart. The song was used on the soundtrack for the 2011 movie “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.”
Another career highlight came before “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer” was released. She’d shared videos of herself singing the song, and it caught the attention of Greyson Chance and Simpson. They were so impressed that they had her open for them on tour in 2010.
Magness also joined One Direction for their Up All Night Tour the same year. She later opened for their Take Me Home Tour. Regarding touring, she opened for Fifth Harmony in 2016. As mentioned, Magness also released original music. Some of her songs include “Lovesick,” “Now or Never,” and “Machines.” Her EP, “Love Maps,” was released in 2021.
Fans Are Paying Tribute to Her Legacy
Many would agree that Magness is gone too soon. However, despite her short time on earth, she built a legacy that will endure. As a result, many of her fans, who knew she was destined for superstardom, are paying tribute to her life.
One person, Jazz, said on X, “Rest in peace, Camryn. You will always be my rockstar 🤍🕯️”
Someone else said, “My sweet Camryn. You will be so sorely missed ♡.” Other fans not only celebrated her songs, but many remarked on all they felt Magness had left to accomplish. She will be missed!
