Bobby Flay and girlfriend Brooke Williamson sparked engagement rumors after he gave her a diamond ring. Wedding bells aren’t in their future, however, as the Food Network star explained why he has no interest in getting married again.

Engagement rumors started swirling after Flay shared a photo of Williamson on his Instagram Story wearing a diamond ring. While he noted, “It’s casual,” fans wondered if he was being cheeky about popping the question.
During the December 1 episode of the “Bobby on the Beat” podcast, he and Williamson shared their wedding plans.
In a nutshell, even though he gave her a ring, they’re not planning to get married.
“For me, I think it’s important to set the record straight for you because I have so much respect for you, and I want you to be treated that way,” he told her.
Flay continued, “Marriage is not a thing that interests us.”
He added, “I’ve tried it a few times, and I’m good where I am now. I wanted to give that to you because I wanted to show my commitment to you in general.”
Flay went on to explain how the ring symbolizes their commitment as “life partners” without the formality of saying “I do.”
“To me, that’s the most important thing. Having you in my life has really been a special thing for me, for my friends, for my family,” he said. “You’re spectacular.”
Flay added, “So, we’re not engaged, but we’re committed.”
The chef spoke about marriage during a 2024 appearance on the “Let’s Be Honest” podcast. “If you asked me today, I’d say, probably, [it’s off the table.] I don’t know,” Flay said.
He noted, “For me, it hasn’t been the best situation. That said, I don’t feel like I need to do it again … I would be interested in a life partner for sure. But I don’t think it necessarily needs the documentation.”

Flay has been married three times: to chef Debra Ponzek, from 1991 to 1993, to Kate Connelly for three years, and to actress Stephanie March from 2005 to 2015.
Flay and Williamson started dating earlier in 2025.
