It’s an exciting week for daytime television fans, as every major soap is rolling out familiar faces, legacy returns, surprise appearances, and major storyline shifts. From ABC to Peacock and CBS, “The Young and the Restless,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital,” “Beyond the Gates,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” are welcoming back beloved characters and well-known stars. For longtime viewers, it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest comeback weeks in recent memory.

With the holidays approaching and several shows heading into season finales and sweeps-heavy storylines, producers have packed this week with fan-favorite performers and returning characters. Here’s a look at the latest soap news, who’s stepping back into the spotlight on all five shows — and where each storyline is headed next.


‘Beyond the Gates’ Is Bringing Back Fan Favorites & Some ‘Real Housewives’ Stars

“Beyond the Gates” continues to expand its universe with an impressive slate of returns, guest appearances, and recurring stars.

Kiara Liz Ortega is back as Sheryl, while Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” appear as Gloria and Calliope. The duo gives Vanessa unexpected career advice and tension follows, according to Parade.

Ernestine Johnson receives expanded airtime as Shanice Johnson, who finds herself trapped with Ted as their shared storyline escalates.

Maurice P. Kerry returns as Randy Parker, Jasmine Burke appears as June, and Kenjah McNeil reprises her role as Madison Montgomery. Najah Jackson and Jaden Lucas Miller also return as Samantha and Tyrell Richardson as their family drama deepens.

Additional appearances include Malachi Malik as Elon Hawthorne and digital creator Damone Roberts, who helps the Duprees prepare for WinterFest. Carlos Enrique Palacio returns as Diego Sanchez, and Dominique Madison joins the cast soon as Lynette Wise.


‘Days of our Lives,’ ‘General Hospital’ & ‘The Bold & the Beautiful’ Add Major Players

On “Days of our Lives,” Stacy Haiduk returns as Kristen DiMera, and Alice Halsey continues as Rachel Black, who receives a surprise visitor. Thaao Penghlis returns as Tony DiMera, and Karole Foreman is back as Judge Dabney. Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves continue their run as Jack and Jennifer, while Dan Gauthier, Wes Ramsey, and Peter Porte are set for big debuts and comebacks.

Over on ABC’s “General Hospital,” Wally Kurth returns as Ned Quartermaine, Cosette Abinante appears as Scout Cain, and Viron Weaver returns as Wiley Corinthos. The cast also welcomes back Nazneen Contractor as ADA Justine Turner, Robert Gossett as Marshall Ashford, Vernee Watson as Stella Henry, and Finn Carr as Rocco Falconeri.

On “The Bold & the Beautiful,” John McCook is back as Eric Forrester and faces off with his son over the future of Forrester Creations. Sydney Bullock returns as Dylan, and Jennifer Gareis reprises her role as Donna Logan Forrester. Amy Davidson debuts as PR rep Robin.

And on “The Young and the Restless,” Beth Maitland returns as Traci Abbott, Matt Cohen returns as Detective Burrow, and Eileen Davidson continues her run as Ashley Abbott. Patty Weaver and Tricia Cast wrapped their brief return as Gina Romalotti and Nina Webster.
