‘General Hospital’ Star Lands Major Netflix Role

More soap stars are joining Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives” Season 2.

Aside from “The Bold and the Beautiful” alum Kim Matula (former Hope Logan), it’s been confirmed that “General Hospital” star John Stamos is joining the series, per Variety.

Soap fans remember him as Blackie Parrish on the long-running ABC soap. He played the role from 1982 to 1984.

Stamos is also known for his role as Jesse Katsopolis from “Full House” and “Fuller House.”

For his new role in “The Hunting Wives,” Stamos will play Chase Brylan. Further description of the character is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Stamos will be joining other fresh faces on the show, including Dale Dickey and Cam Gigandet. They will play Zelda Moffitt and Gentle John Moffit respectively.

Some of the returning cast members include Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery, and Branton Box.

Fans Are Excited About John Stamos’ New Netflix Role

Meanwhile, fans of Stamos can’t hide their excitement about the actor’s new acting gig.

One fan commented on Instagram, “This is the best thing! OMGGG! I love you @johnstamos!” while another chimed in, “Stamos! Cannot wait!”

Someone wrote, “How to make a good show great? Add John Stamos! Yesss!”

Aside from “General Hospital,” Stamos appeared on NBC’s “ER,” Netflix’s “You,” Disney+’s “Big Shot,” and Apple TV’s “Palm Royale.”

“The Hunting Wives,” created by Rebecca Cutter, is based on the May Cobb novel of the same name. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.

The first season of the series debuted on Netflix on July 21 and held a spot in the global English Top 10 TV list for five consecutive weeks. It garnered more than 20 million views during that run, despite only being available in the U.S.
