Mel Owens walked away from his season as “The Golden Bachelor” as a happy man, as he promised to commit to retired Las Vegas firefighter Peg Munson in the finale. Now that the couple can make their relationship public, they wasted no time sharing new life updates that proved they are going strong.

On Instagram, Munson shared a sweet video of the two of them fooling around in a pool, playing with water guns, and even sharing a very passionate kiss. She also included a song from KC & The Sunshine Band playing in the background, the band she and Owens saw perform on their first one-on-one date.

Munson captioned her playful post, “Happiness looks a lot like this 😍🌹
Splashing, laughing, and loving every moment together.
Water guns, poolside kisses, and a whole new chapter beginning right here 🥰✨ Here’s to love that feels light, joyful, and REAL.
We can’t wait to share more adventures with you all! 💛.”

Owens Gave Munson a Promise Ring

Owens chose not to propose to Munson in the finale, but he did give her a commitment ring, which she accepted, expressing her desire to take things slow and get to know each other before considering marriage.

During their appearance on the “After the Final Rose” special, the couple heartwarmingly shared that since the finale, they had both fallen in love with each other.

In their joint interview with the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Munson’s commitment ring came into question, with one of the hosts wondering if an engagement was in the near future.

“Well, that’s to be seen, so we’re not going to share anything now. To be determined and to be seen,” Owens said.

“We’re committed to each other right now,” he added. “We’re traveling down this road together, we’ll see what happens.”

During the interview, Munson was asked if there was a moment on the show she felt she might be “the one” for Owens. She revealed that she had a strong sense during their private mud bath in episode 5, when she and five other women remained.

“As soon as I got out of that mud bath and got back to the mansion, and just my spirit, just like, really talked to me, and actually, I wrote it in my journal, and wrote, ‘It’s going to be me,'” she shared.
