“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” season 3 revealed that Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex, Dakota Mortensen, may have been inappropriately texting one of her mom’s friends after they had broken up. A few of the MomTok members came to Taylor’s defense after Dakota started posting about these rumors online.
Dakota Shares His Side
A reconciliation between Taylor and Dakota seemed possible in season 3 until she confronted him and her mom’s friend about their inappropriate text messages. After admitting to Taylor that she did send Dakota intimate photos, he didn’t appear in the season 3 finale.
Following the season 3 premiere on November 13, Dakota alluded to the rumors when he posted a TikTok that revealed his perspective on the drama. In the video, he lip-syncs to a famous scene from the show “Friends,” where Ross yells at Rachel, “we were on a break!”
Dakota wrote in the caption of the video, “also never touched another woman ever.”
MomTok Stands as a United Front
Since Taylor is currently busy filming her season of “The Bachelorette,” she’s been unable to stand up for herself, but some of the MomTok ladies were quick to come to her defense.
“You’re looking real brave since taylor doesn’t have access to her phone to clap back. One more time for you since you have a hard time comprehending, it’s not what you did, it’s WHO it was with 🥰,” Layla Taylor said in her comment.
Dakota responded to Layla with, “hey remember how I’ve been labeled a cheater for 3 years when I’ve never cheated. You’re basing it off one incident. Sorry also isn’t okay and I have every right to defend that. We all know who is really afraid of Tay 🥰.”
But Layla wasn’t alone. Mayci Neeley also joined in by commenting, “*We were on a break so I tried to hookup with someone Taylor considered a family member* DAKOTA this is when you take the L and apologize not double down.”
“Ha wait I never tried to hook up with anyone. 🤦♂️sometimes I wish you guys would actually come to me for my side. I think it’s the most frustrating part about all this,” Dakota replied to Mayci.
“Oh you were on a break? That makes things SOOO much better 🙄” added Mikayla Matthews.
“You know she broke up with me.. ha don’t play that 🙄,” Dakota answered Mikayla.
“Mormon Wives” fans and “Bachelor” fans alike also stood by Taylor.
