After experiencing complications while welcoming a baby boy into the world, popular Bachelor alum Krystal Nielson has shared an update about herself and her son, Rowan. This comes after the newborn had to spend time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) following his birth.
“After an incredibly tough week, Rowan was finally discharged from the NICU last night and we’re all home together at last,” Krystal — who is married to Miles Bowles and is also the mom to daughter Andara Rose, who was born in 2021 — wrote in the caption of an Instagram post she shared on Sunday, November 23.
She added, “The emotions are hard to put into words — trauma, grief, and overwhelming gratitude all tangled together.”
Krystal Is ‘So, So Grateful’
Although Krystal and her little one went through an undeniably trying time, she’s now “grateful” for the fact that they’re home as well as for the support they’ve received after his birth.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every prayer, message, and bit of love you’ve sent our way,” she continued in her Instagram caption.
“Being held by our family, close friends, and this amazing online community has meant more than you’ll ever know during one of the hardest weeks we’ve ever faced,” she added.
She ended her message by saying, “Everyone is healthy, stable, and home. We are so, so grateful. Now begins the slow, gentle work of healing — for all of us. 🙏”
