Moving from the place where you feel more comfortable can be scary, especially when you’re heading to a city that feels unfamiliar. But when the reason for the move is being with the person you love, the transition doesn’t feel quite as intimidating.
“The Bachelor” season 28 contestant and “Bachelor in Paradise” season 10 star Jess Edwards is gearing up for her big move from San Diego, California, to Dallas, Texas. The move marks a major step in her relationship with Spencer Conley, whom she fell in love with on the Bachelor spinoff.
Jess Edwards Prepares For Her Big Move to Texas
Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley fell head over heels for one another on the beaches of Costa Rica on season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” Even as new cast members joined them on the show every week, the pair remained devoted to one another, proving that their eyes and their hearts were only for each other up until the finale.
Since the show’s finale, where Conley got down on one knee and proposed, the couple has been giving fans glimpses into their life together, sharing updates on social media about their exciting new chapter.
The biggest of them all has been Edwards’ decision to move from San Diego, California to be with Conley in Dallas, Texas.
In a Dec. 3 TikTok, Edwards shared a video of herself spending time at her “favorite spot” in San Diego before making the big move.
The clip shows Edwards alone, sitting on a rock overlooking the ocean as she takes in the views one last time. The end of the video sees her picking up her cowboy boots (a nod to Texas) and walking away from her favorite location.
“My heart is a little heavy but so full. Thankful for everything this place gave me. I’m so excited for this new chapter, Texas here I come! 🥹❤️,” she captioned her post.
In the comment section, Conley jokingly shared, “Suck it San Diego, she’s with Dallas now 😤 (jk love San Diego but kinda not kidding).”
Edwards Details Her Living Situation With Conley
Edwards has been very open with fans who are curious about her big move cross-country. According to Bachelor Nation, the BiP star answered a few fan questions on her Instagram Stories including which part of Texas she and Conley could see themselves living in.
When a fan asked, “When are you moving to Texas. Will you be in Dallas or suburbs,” Edwards shared, “I’m having movers move all of my things this weekend before Thanksgiving so that when we get back everything is here,” she began.
“Lots of questions about the move! We’re looking at places in Lower Greenville & M Streets. My main want is a very walkable area to lots of things because that’s something I love about where I live in SD,” she added.
Edwards also revealed that she would be living in Conley’s current place until next year because his lease ends in January, giving the couple some time to look for the perfect place.
As for wedding plans, the couple also shared during a fan Q&A on Instagram Stories that they are “taking things one step at a time.” Edwards added (via Bachelor Nation), “We’ll probably re-evaluate when it’s been a year, so probably next May we’ll start talking more plans.”
