Ali first made a joke about the situation while bringing up the fact that her husband, Kevin Manno, had just helped her cut her hair. In her Instagram Story (via Bachelor Nation), she wrote, “Apparently, the haircut situation made me violently ill. 🤪”

Adding text over a picture of herself in a hospital bed, she explained what had happened, writing, “I went from totally fine to having severe lower abdominal cramping every 20 minutes and after a few hours of that, my friend who’s a doctor told me I should be seen so getting checked out.”

She added, “I’m sure everything’s fine. But man, the only thing I can compare the pain to is childbirth contractions. Brought me to my knees in tears.” 

Ali Revealed What Was Wrong

In an additional Instagram Story, Ali assured fans by writing, “I’m okay! They gave me some morphine and it took the pain away which was so very much needed.”

She also revealed the cause of her pain, writing, “Had a CAT scan and I have colitis which is inflammation of the intestines.”

Ali then explained how she and her health care professionals intend to deal with the issue, saying, “They’re gonna put me on an antibiotic and pain med to take home as well as a liquid diet til tomorrow.” 

“And I’ll go see a gastroenterologist just to be safe,” she continued. “I am over 40 so I guess I’m due for a colonoscopy anyway! Sounds fun! 🤪”

She also noted, “…Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s runs in my family but I’m really hoping this is just a one time occurrence for me.”

In a Nov. 25 Instagram post introducing their son, the couple shared the story behind his name, Lucas James.

“His name lived in our hearts long before we ever met him. Lucas was chosen in Cabo San Lucas, the place where we got engaged. 🤍 James is for Jake’s dad—a piece of him now gets to live on through our son🕊️,” the post was captioned.

The controversial podcast comments Munson referenced came from an interview Owens gave before his season even premiered. During a June appearance on the “In the Trenches” podcast, the 66 year old revealed that he had told Bachelor producers he preferred dating women between 45 and 60, adding that he could be “cutting” any woman older than that.

That wasn’t all. Owens also shared that while speaking to Bachelor producers, he made it clear that he preferred “fit” women and asked to “stay away from the artificial hips and wings.”

The women who appeared on his season ranged in age from 58 to 77. During the season premiere, Owens profusely apologized for his comments before his journey of finding love began.

“I messed up,” Owens shared. “I was wrong. I replay it in my head a lot. I have regrets and I’m sorry for all the things I said in the podcast. I know what a lot of people are thinking about me, but that’s not who I am.”

He even shared a sincere apology in front of the 23 women who were a part of his journey, some of whom made jokes about his comments during their limo entrances. The women accepted it and were ready to move forward.

“Bachelor In Paradise” star Krystal Nielson recently gave birth to her second child, and she’s finally shared the harrowing story of her experience. Her story is that of resilience and love.

Krystal Nielson’s Birth Story

In an Instagram post on December 3, 2025, Nielson called her second child, Rowan’s, birth “the most traumatic experience we’ve ever endured,” referring to herself and her husband, Miles Bowels. Nielson said she gave birth weeks ago, but needed to heal at home before discussing the details.

According to Nielson, she went in for a “scheduled induction due to an umbilical vein vax,” a condition Nielson was familiar with having gone through the same issue with her daughter. Nielson described a lovely birth with her first child, and admitted she and her husband “thought baby #2 would be faster and gentler.”

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Nielson was in labor for 33 hours with very little progress, describing her state as “utterly exhausted and sleep deprived.” Eventually, she agreed to an epidural so the medical team could break her water.

Things seemed to be looking up from there; less than three hours later, Nielson was ready to start pushing. At the same moment, “a double rainbow … painted itself across the sky outside [her] window.” Nielson believed this to be a sign from Heaven.

Yet, the labor process was not as smooth sailing as anyone would have liked. Nielson pushed for three-and-a-half hours to no avail. She knew something was wrong, telling her midwife, “He isn’t coming.” It turns out Rowan was stuck under her pubic bone, meaning a vaginal delivery was no longer an option.

“The Bachelor” star’s doctor tried to rotate the baby, but realized her uterus had ruptured. Nielson was immediately rushed to the operating room to have a C-section.

Due to the complications, Rowan swallowed blood and had to spend time in the NICU before Neilson and her husband could hold their new baby.

The story has a happy ending. Rowan survived and was returned to his parents. Nielson said every test performed on her son “came back normal.” The doctors were also able to repair Nielson’s uterus, although she’s been advised not to have anymore children. As the mom was hoping to someday have a third child, she called this news “devastating to hear.”

At the end of her Instagram post, Nielson said her family has a new tradition given Rowan’s difficult birth story.

“Every year on Rowan’s birthday, we will lower ourselves into ice-cold water together. We will remember was 92.3 °F felt like when the world hung in the balance. We will shiver, we will cry, we will laugh, and we will rise–because that is the story of how our son came to us.”

The temperature is in reference to the 72 hours Rowan spent in “protective hypothermia–his body cooled to 92.3 °F to protect his brain.”

When a fan asked, “When are you moving to Texas. Will you be in Dallas or suburbs,” Edwards shared, “I’m having movers move all of my things this weekend before Thanksgiving so that when we get back everything is here,” she began.

For some background, “[i]n 2021, Lindsay interviewed longtime Bachelor and Bachelorette host Harrison, 54, while she worked as correspondent for Extra,” according to Us Weekly. “During the chat, the pair talked about Matt James, who was the show’s first Black Bachelor. Lindsay brought up the drama of contestant Rachael Kirkconnell’s attendance at a southern antebellum party while she was in college. (The style of party has received backlash over the years due to the era’s affiliation with slavery and the Confederacy.)”

When the issue was brought up during Harrison’s interview with Lindsay, he “slammed the criticism and defended Kirkconnell as a victim of cancel culture. … Harrison was subsequently let go from the show, which led to a falling out between him and Lindsay.”

Rachel Says Chris Was ‘Ranting & Raving’

“I’m known for asking direct questions, relevant questions. And Chris was there to promote, nobody even knows — some drink maybe. So it was a perfect storm,” Lindsay said of the interview. “ABC PR wasn’t on the call. Warner PR wasn’t on the call. It was the PR of that drink company, so there’s no one to stop him and say, ‘You’re going the wrong way.’ It was 15 minutes of him ranting and raving.”

“He was just showing his true self, but I was sitting back, like, I know this to be you, the audience doesn’t. I’m just shocked that you have the audacity to be saying this,” Lindsay recalled.

“And then when he finished… I go to my EP, and I said, ‘Did you see that?’ She said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘Only air whatever he said about his promotion.’ I said, ‘Put the whole thing on YouTube, unedited,’” she continued.

She added, “And then the next day, it blew up, and I sent it to an executive at ABC, and he was like, ‘Yeah, I already saw it. It’s the first thing on my desk this morning.’”

After the interview sparked a buzz, Lindsay says Harrison got in touch. “He texted me, or called me, that morning and was like, ‘Well, they’re saying I’m gaslighting you.’ He still didn’t get it until somebody said something and apologized. And then when I tried to explain to him why it was offensive. It was dismissive.”

Rachel Thinks Chris Would Still Have His Job Today

During Lindsay’s podcast interview, she was asked by host Jon Lovett if Harrison would end up losing his “Bachelor” gig if the incident happened today.

“He would have sat out maybe, maybe he wouldn’t have hosted the finale episode, and he would have been able to come back. I think he thought that for himself,” she said. “If it had not happened in February of 2021 that’s when cancel culture was heightened.”

Robert Irwin’s ‘The Bachelor’ Future 

Many fans would love to see Irwin become the next “The Bachelor” lead, and considering how sweet and genuine he is, it could be a great platform to put himself out there and find someone who makes him happy. Irwin has not given a definitive answer about whether he would ever do the show, but his “I’m a Celebrity” co-host, Julia Morris, has weighed in on the reports and shared her thoughts on why this would not be a good fit for him. 

“I don’t believe that he shares his personal life in that way,” she told the “Confessions of a Reality Star” podcast on November 30, Yahoo! Lifestyle Reports. “If you live such a public existence… [and] having to share your lifetime grief with pretty much every person that you cross paths with… I think romance surely is something that needs to be behind closed doors. I would be so shocked to my very foundations if I ever saw that happen.”

Robert Irwin’s Dating Life 

Morris makes a good point, and Irwin is a private person who has dodged questions about a possible romance with actress and former DWTS Mirrorball champion Xochitl Gomez. The rumors started after she danced the jive with Irwin as part of his Relay Race challenge.

He is also clever about the way he answers questions, always leaving a possibility of hope or making sure he can revisit the question at a later stage. For example, while competing on DWTS, he was asked by E! News whether he would ever go on “The Bachelor,” and while his professional dance partner Witney Carson was quick to shut down that thought, Irwin replied, “All I can say is watch this space. Stranger things have happened.”

Whether Irwin signs up to “The Bachelor” or not, he is not going to be resting and disappearing from the limelight. He already has a lot of things planned for the future. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on December 1, he spoke about what’s next for him and how he wants to take on as many projects as possible to continue to spread his message “of wildlife conservation, of passion and positivity.”

“I kind of always saw this sort of one lane in one direction that I would travel in to spread that message,” he said. “But now doing this show, a complete deviation from what I usually do, I’ve realized there are so many different avenues to connect with people and to tell stories, and I really think that’s what I’m here to do, you know? I want to find as many different mediums to do that, whether that’s through TV or movies or whatever that ends up being. I definitely want to take on bigger and better projects.”
