Reza Farahan is officially back on TV — and his newest Bravo series is bringing the kind of explosive energy longtime fans expect. The “Shahs of Sunset” alum reunites with Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi and Mercedes “MJ” Javid for the debut season of “The Valley: Persian Style,” a show he promises is packed with drama, nostalgia, and a few surprises.
During the “Andddd We’re Back!” panel at BravoCon 2025, Farahan teased why the show feels fresh yet familiar.
“Shahs fans are gonna love ‘The Valley: Persian Style’ because it’s literally the best parts of Shahs — which are me, Golnesa, and MJ,” he joked.
Reza Farahan Teases ‘Out of Control’ Drama in ‘The Valley: Persian Style’
Farahan said viewers can expect brand-new personalities, long-standing friendships, and storylines rooted in real life — but with the same high-octane flair that made “Shahs of Sunset” a Bravo classic.
“The most amazing friends of ours that you guys don’t know… now we get to share them with you,” he said. “We’re in a different place in our lives… and they’re nuts.”
He kept the tease coming:
“The drama is on fleek. It’s out of control. I was there for it, and I cannot wait to watch this show.”
Bravo debuted the first trailer for the new series during BravoCon weekend, confirming the cast has left Beverly Hills behind for suburban life in the Valley.
Farahan also revealed that several former “Shahs” castmates have shown enthusiastic support — including Lilly Ghalichi, Destiney Rose, and Sara Jeihooni. But not everyone was impressed.
Mike Shouhed told him, “The show wouldn’t be that great. It wouldn’t have the sparkle and magic of Shahs.”
Farahan’s response? “Why? Because you’re not on it?”
Farahan Reflects on His Memoir and Life After ‘Shahs of Sunset’
Beyond the new series, Farahan is preparing for his memoir, “Memories of a Gay Shah: My Story of Family, Fame and Becoming a King,” arriving April 7, 2026.
“I cried 47 times writing it,” he told Us Weekly. “I healed parts of myself I didn’t realize still needed healing.”
He also opened up about the emotional fallout after “Shahs of Sunset” went on indefinite pause.
“There needs to be a transitional team that helps you deal with when they put you ‘on pause,’” he said. “There were times I thought, ‘If I’m not a Shah anymore, I don’t know who I am.’”
Despite the ups and downs, Farahan said his bond with GG and MJ has remained solid.
“I dare say it’s the holy trinity of Shahs,” he added.
“The Valley: Persian Style” premieres Thursday, January 8, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
