Chip & Joanna Gaines Give Fans Sneak Peek at Their ‘Fixer Upper’ Mountain House [VIDEO]

Chip and Joanna Gaines are tackling their first “Fixer Upper” project outside of Waco, Texas — and there are some unique challenges in store for the HGTV stars. Watch as they check out the underwhelming bathroom in a “Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House” sneak peek, plus see what Chip said about their very different approaches to renovations.

Inside the ‘Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House’ Bathroom

On December 2, the Magnolia Network Instagram account shared a sneak peek at Chip and Joanna checking out the bathroom of their mountain home.

“Only one week out until Chip and Jo take on their very first fixer outside of Texas. Cue the happy tears!” the caption noted.

The caption added, “Tune in to #FixerUpper: Colorado Mountain House on December 9th at 9pm ET/PT on @magnolianetwork and @hgtv. Streaming same day on @hbomax and @discoveryplus!”

In the video, Chip tells Joanna, “I want you to see, this is the bathroom. Look at this.”

Joanna notes, “There’s no shower.”

“Stay open minded, babe,” he tells his wife. “Don’t forget, a second ago you cried good tears.”

On October 28, Joanna shared a trailer for the show, noting in the caption, “‘Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House’ is coming this December! Watch @chipgaines and me turn this 1960s home in the heart of the Rockies into a cozy family retreat.”

In the video, Joanna and Chip discuss the house’s lack of space, with Jo commenting, “This is a zero bedroom house.”

Chip adds, “There’s a lot of work to be done.”

Chip Shares How His Approach to Renovations Differs From Joanna’s

The Magnolia Network Instagram account also posted a quick clip of Chip talking about how he has a very different approach to home renovations than Joanna.

Unsurprisingly, he’s a little more unhinged, while she’s more measured.

The caption noted, “She’s the logic and he’s the leap of faith. Together? A perfect balance!”

In the video, fans catch a glimpse at the interior of the Colorado mountain house. “She only wants to do things that were decorative and logical,” Chip explains.

He adds, “And I only want to do things that are illogical and sort of, like, dangerous.”

Fans love the couple’s dynamic, lighting up the comments section with messages including, “And we love ya for it Chip!!” and “That’s the key to your success.”

“That’s why you are so good together — you balance each other 😍 love you both,” one fan wrote.
