Baby on board! Actress Skyler Samuels, who has starred in Hallmark’s “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries” since 2023, turned heads on December 4, 2025. The very private actress and her husband, actor Lucas Till, made their red carpet debut and revealed they’re expecting their second child.
Posting a photo of their date night, Samuels wrote, “Mom and dad’s night out celebrating my handsome hubby in his new western for @netflix @theabandonsnetflix ….season 1 is streaming now and it’s stellar! 👊 🤠 🐴 🔥”
Skyler Samuels & Lucas Till Have Juggled Parenting Duties While Filming Separate Projects: ‘So Worth It’
Samuels and Till, who welcomed their first child in early 2024, appeared together while attending the premiere of his new Netflix show, “The Abandons.” While posing for photographers, they both cradled her baby bump and she laughed, “He’s the father, yeah!”
The couple, who were both Disney stars when they were younger, has been very private about their relationship, prompting one fan to comment on Samuel’s Instagram post, “I was today years old when I realized you all are married😮”
Till and Samuels have chosen not to reveal the gender or name of their first child. But in May 2024, Samuels opened up to EntertainmentNow about how they were juggling new parenthood while she filmed with Hallmark and Till filmed “The Abandons.”
“My husband, his name is Lucas, and he’s actually also working on a show in Canada,” she told EntertainmentNow. “So he and I are learning to sort of pass the baton on, like, what it means that we’re both working at the same time.”
Getty“You know, when I went back to do these ‘Aurora’ movies at the beginning of the year, he was like Mr. Mom, 24/7, while I was at work,” she continued. “And as soon as we got back, he headed up to a different part of Canada to go do his show. Then, you know, I’m on full-time (parenting duty) and we’re just learning how to kind of keep it going.”
“There are no rules,” she laughed. “Like, we have no idea what we’re doing, right but we are really enjoying the challenge. It’s definitely more joy than it is struggle, you know? It’s hard, of course, but it’s so worth it.”
Skyler Samuels’ Future at Hallmark is Up in the Air
When Samuels spoke to EntertainmentNow about adjusting to parenthood with Till, she marveled, “You feel so accomplished. It’s like, ‘Okay, the baby pooped, (they) ate, we got (them) to bed, we also did our day job. My God, we accomplished everything!’ You feel so triumphant.”
“I’m just a working mom who’s, you know, putting the ‘Aurora’ wig on and running around solving crimes, but also, like, having to take breaks to go pump and then feed the baby,” Samuels laughed. “And then come back to set, and just, juggle all these all day jobs. Mom job, actor job — they’re both full-time.”
With many Hallmark mysteries put on hold in 2025, the future is unclear for Samuels’ “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries,” which are prequels to the movies that once starred Candace Cameron Bure. She also starred in 2024’s “My Dreams of You.”
But when she spoke to EntertainmentNow, she said she’d been focusing a great deal on screenwriting and shadowing director friends, including Hallmark director Jessica Harmon.
“I’ve been writing for a while and so my hope is, you know, to find my way into a writing and directing credit within Hallmark,” she said. “I just love it so much.”
