Hallmark is airing another new movie on December 7 as its “Countdown to Christmas” campaign continues. Next up for the network is the debut of “Single on the 25th.”
“Single on the 25th” stars Lyndsy Fonseca and Daniel Lissing, both of whom are familiar faces to Hallmark fans.
Lyndsy Fonseca & Daniel Lissing Play Single Neigbors
According to Casting Workbook, “Single on the 25th” slated to film from August 29 to September 21 in and around Montreal and Ottawa in Canada.
Hallmark shares that Fonseca plays Nell Duke, who is feeling down about being single during the Christmas season. To make the holiday even more disappointing, Nell’s family cancels their plans just ahead of Christmas.
Nell then decides to simply do Christmas on her own, looking for ways to make it fun. She runs into her neighbor, Cooper, who is “a financial analyst who prides himself on being happily unattached.”
Cooper, played by Lissing, realizes that Nell is having a hard time facing Christmas while being single and without her family. He offers tips geared toward making the holiday festive, and he “inspires Nell to challenge her insecurities and find happiness in being on her own.”
As they navigate the holiday, Nell helps Cooper realize that his tendency to remain steadfastly unattached has led to him missing out on authentic connections with others.
Naturally, the sparks begin to fly between Nell and Cooper. However, their budding romance hits a major speedbump. Nell discovers that Cooper’s efforts to spend time with her came out of his feeling sorry for her.
As a result, Nell begins to build strength in the idea of being single for Christmas. As for Cooper, he faces the need to strengthen his character.
Hallmark’s “Single on the 25th” was inspired by the Lauren Spencer Smith song of the same name.

Lissing has become a popular entertainer both in his home country of Australia as well as in the United States. He played Jack Thornton on “When Calls the Heart” for several seasons early in the show’s run. He also starred in the ABC series “Last Resort.”
