Hallmark’s “The Motherhood” star Connie Britton revealed several months ago she was engaged to television writer and producer David Windsor. In a recent appearance, she provided something of a wedding update. Britton may not have revealed a date or venue, but she did give fans a sense of where she and Windsor are at in the planning process.
Connie Britton & David Windsor Are in No Rush to Wed
Britton briefly opened up about her wedding plans during an appearance on “Today.” For the majority of the segment, Britton and Ed Burns talked with Craig Melvin about their movie, “The Family McMullen.” The new movie is the sequel to “The Brothers McMullen,” which debuted in 1995. Britton credits the film for launching her career.
Toward the end of the segment, Melvin brought up her engagement and congratulated her. She laughed, and when asked about wedding plans, revealed, “We’re just taking it nice and slow, you know what I mean?”
“We’re enjoying the engagement for a while,” Britton shared.
The group noted that Windsor was at the “Today” show with her, somewhere. Melvin tried to get him on camera, but unfortunately for fans, that didn’t happen.
The Couple Was Set up By a Friend Several Years Ago
In October, People noted that Britton and Windsor first crossed paths in 2019 at the birthday party of a mutual friend. The couple has generally kept their relationship quite private, but he has attended some events with her in the past.
After dating for nearly six years, Britton revealed in October that they had gotten engaged.
Like Britton, Windsor also works in the entertainment industry. However, he focuses his efforts behind the cameras. He has worked on shows such as “This Is Us,” “The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox,” and “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.”
The media outlet noted that Windsor’s career started over 20 years ago when he started working on “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place” as a writer’s assistant. Casey Johnson got him the gig, and the two now have a production company they run together.
In January 2023, Britton apppeared on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show and revealed, “I have an amazing man in my life now.”
Britton explained that in November 2019, she attended a 50th birthday party for a friend. As soon as she arrived, she realized she didn’t know anybody else there.
The host mentioned wanting to introduce her to Windsor, and as soon as she saw him from across the room, she told Cohen, “I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I want to meet him. Whoa.'”
However, Britton revealed that the two actually didn’t meet that night. She left before getting the opportunity, much to her friend’s disappointment. Britton told her friend to have Windsor email her, which he did the next day.
“The Motherhood” is available on Hallmark+, and “The Family McMullen” is now available on HBO Max.
