After Montreal & Paris, Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry are taking their romance to Tokyo. The former “American Idol” judge and former Canadian Prime Minister are getting even closer. The couple stepped out in Tokyo this week, holding hands as Perry continues the Japan leg of her global “Lifetimes” tour.
Perry & Trudeau Keep Their Outing Low-Key, Yet Stylish
As per photos obtained and published by TMZ, Perry kept things low-key in a beige bomber jacket, khaki pants, a baseball cap, and a face mask. Trudeau matched her casual vibe in a gray coat and jeans as they walked through the city.
The two first sparked dating rumors in July and made things Instagram official in October. And their chemistry hasn’t slowed down since.
While traveling through Europe last month, Perry posted a carousel of photos from her final shows there. She opened the slideshow with a strapless Dolce & Gabbana minidress covered in crystals.

She styled her long, dark hair in soft waves and completed the look with winged eyeliner, coral blush, and a nude lip.
Despite ending her decade-long partnership with former fiancé Orlando Bloom earlier this year, Perry publicly supported his new film “The Cut,” sharing the trailer on Instagram and writing, “Proud of you @orlandobloom #TheCutMovie.”
Bloom responded with a simple heart emoji.

GettyPerry and Bloom’s breakup was confirmed in June after weeks of speculation. The pair, who share daughter Daisy, ended things on good terms.
“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved not to have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Perry has since been balancing life as a single mother while managing her most ambitious tour in years. “Lifetimes” kicked off in April and will wrap in Abu Dhabi on December 7.
Perry and Trudeau Are Already Planning Their Holidays Together
A source told People that Perry and Trudeau are moving forward in a meaningful way. The insider said the couple is already “making plans for the holidays.”
“Without exaggeration, this year has been a whirlwind for her,” the source explained. “She hasn’t even had time to really think about her life after the tour.”
The “Firework” singer is also navigating a new phase of her personal life.
“She’s a single mom now and a lot of that is going to come into focus next year,” the source said.
Trudeau, meanwhile, has been consistent and supportive.
“Justin keeps making a big effort to see her and she’s excited about it,” the insider noted. “She has a lot of fun with him.”
