She also got into the Christmas spirit with her “mouth horn” and a piano duet with Kenan Thompson. Her opening monologue also included Christmas magic and some fake snow.
Days after her big gig, McCarthy brought the festive cheer again when she appeared on Clarkson’s show to play “Reindeer Games” with her. The game sounds as joyous as you expect it to be, and the two superstars engage in a game of ring toss, reindeer-style.
Clarkson lost the game, so as a prize, the “Since U Been Gone” singer decided to create a personalized voicemail for McCarthy. The message showcased her incredible vocals and wit and was made to the tune of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
“Hark, my lady’s phone will ring/But she won’t be answering/Nope!/Do not take it personally/It’s not you, but probably,” she began. “Trader Joes and In and Out/She is running all about/Leave a message at the tone/She’s probably home but doesn’t wanna talk to you.”
McCarthy and the audience erupted in cheers and laughter, and the actress was thrilled with her new voicemail. The fun segment was shared on YouTube, giving fans a chance to react and share their thoughts.
