Is Bethenny Frankel the Future of Dating?

It’s certainly possible!

Former “The Real Housewives of New York City” star and current mega entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel announced her new online dating platform, which is a “society of intention” aimed at “high-integrity adults” who “demand more from their connections,” per the website for The Core. According to her Instagram caption, it’s to remedy the chaotic, broken billion-dollar dating industry that’s built on keeping people stuck and lonely. As an antidote to all of that mess and distraction, The Core promises to facilitate real connection, without games, by building a community of adults who show up and fully follow through — in other words, take love seriously and no ghosting allowed!

Not so fast. If you’re interested in a membership application, there are a few things to know. First, there are two tiers that you have the option to sign up for: Community Member and Connection Member. A Community Member encompasses those who are single or in relationships and are interested in curated content and access to membership exclusives, which may include, but are not limited to, experiences, events, promotions, and other perks.

A Connection Membership is someone looking for love (possibly in all the wrong places before finding The Core) and a life partner. This membership offers private, curated experiences and “personalized, high-touch connections crafted to foster real, meaningful relationships,” per the website.

According to Bloomberg, initiation fees for the Connection Member start at $1,200 and initiation fees for the Community Membership start at $50. There’s then a questionnaire to fill out if you’re interested in either level, which takes about four minutes and requires a thorough review process.

What Does Bethenny Know About Love?

Bethenny’s been married twice — to Peter Sussman from 1996-1997 and then to Jason Hoppy, who “RHONY” fans will certainly remember both from that show and her spinoff, “Bethenny Ever After,” which followed their wedding and life together. On the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Bethenny opened up about her track record and how she’s made less than stellar relationship decisions in her past. By her own admission, she didn’t have the best role models growing up when it came to love and marriage, and so chose her partners based on how much they liked her instead of the other way around. But moving forward, she promises to be much more intentional with her choices and now members of The Core can follow her example.
