Longtime “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams has gone public with her new girlfriend, Patrice “Sway” McKinney.” Now, Williams, who is returning for season 17 of RHOA, is opening up and giving specifics about their relationship.
Williams recently interviewed with Brice Sander for Entertainment Tonight. One of the most significant topics of the discussion came when he asked her about how she recently “hard-launched” her relationship with McKinney.
When asked about their bond, she said, “So, we’ve been dating for a while now. You know, before I think I mentioned ‘he is nice, and she is nice,’ so I started to focus more on her, so we were dating pretty solid, and Thanksgiving came around.”
She went on to say that they decided to host the holiday festivities together. Williams also noted that they had just returned from a Miami getaway. Williams continued, “So we did. We got our families together. We had a bomb Thanksgiving.”
Porsha Williams also Opened Up About the Photos She Posted
The interview with Entertainment Tonight continued, and Williams opened up about the “hard launch” photo. According to the RHOA star, “Her birthday was the next day, and I was like, ‘I want to post for her birthday.’ And the picture was just so sweet.”
She was then asked if they had a label on their relationship. Williams replied, “We are very close. Definitely still dating.” Williams also confirmed that McKinney is the only person she’s seeing romantically.
According to her, “We’re exclusive. I don’t want to put too much pressure on it. You know, I move really fast. The next time you see me, I might be engaged.” She then said, “If I’m doing it a little bit slower, let me do it slow.”
She Previously Discussed Her Relationship Status
Williams finalized her divorce from Simon Guobadia in June 2025. Fast forward to October, and the mom of one revealed that she was dating a man and a woman. Per Bravo, she said on a panel, “So the people I am talking to now — it’s just two — I’ve narrowed it down to two. And he is nice, and she is nice.”
She continued, “But I really just wanted to make sure these were normal people. And what I talked about with my therapist the other day was, I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists. And guess what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They do everything. They’re perfect. They mirror you.”
Regarding season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” filming wrapped in November 2025. In additon to Williams, the show will include Drew Sidora, Angela Oakley, Shamea Morton, Kelli Ferrell, Phaedra Parks, and Cynthia Bailey. Singer K Michelle is expected to join, and so is restaurateur Pinky Cole.
