Hilaria Baldwin Tearfully Reacts to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Elimination

Hilaria Baldwin isn’t letting her “Dancing With the Stars” elimination dampen her spirit — she’s walking away grateful. The 41-year-old mom of seven and her partner, Gleb Savchenko, 42, were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars during Disney Night on October 7. Though the result stung, Baldwin told E! News she’s choosing to focus on what the journey meant to her.

“We’re okay,” Baldwin said in a joint interview with E! Online with Savchenko. “I mean, we’re not great, but we’re okay at the same time. It’s mixed.”

She grew emotional as she reflected on the encouragement her family had given her throughout the experience. “The first night we got here to LA, I said to my daughter, because I’m so open with my kids, ‘What happens if I get voted off right away?’” Baldwin recalled. “She said, ‘Mommy, at least you tried.’ And I hope they always know that—at least I tried.”

Alec Baldwin’s Sweet Support Meant Everything

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, Baldwin opened up about her husband, Alec Baldwin’s, unwavering support. “He’s such a good support,” she said. “He always says to me, ‘You’ve supported me through so many things, and so I’m here to support you through this.’ It’s been a wonderful journey.”

The yoga instructor and mother of seven said having her kids watch her follow her passion was especially rewarding. “Everybody has been so supportive of me,” she added. “To have my kids out there in the audience supporting me, and then to see them cry afterwards, it broke my heart.”

Inside Hilaria & Gleb’s Final Performance

For Disney Night, Baldwin and Savchenko performed a quickstep to “Cantina Band” from Star Wars: A New Hope. The pair earned a score of 23 out of 30 from the judges, with Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli offering praise, while Derek Hough was more critical.

Despite matching several others on the leaderboard, they didn’t secure enough fan votes out of the record-breaking 40 million cast that evening.

Still, Savchenko praised Baldwin’s commitment and work ethic. “I would come into the studio on time, and she would already be there, already warmed up, ready to go,” he said. “It really showed me how much love and effort she put into the show.”

A Grateful Goodbye & Message to Fellow Contestants

Even after being eliminated, Baldwin and Savchenko were nothing but positive. “We’re going to cheer everyone on,” Savchenko said. “We’re so happy that everyone has continued their journey. We support them. We love them.”

Baldwin echoed the sentiment, revealing how she and her family plan to continue supporting the remaining contestants. “We have 10 votes,” she said with a smile. “We can give one to each one of them, because we love them all equally.”

Before signing off, Savchenko offered one final message to his partner. “You tried your best, I’m so proud of you,” he told Baldwin. “You’re a real, true superhero in the studio, on the floor, and at home.”
