Meghan King, who starred on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for three seasons from 2015 to 2017, has come to an agreement with her ex-husband, former MLB player Jim Edmonds, about the custody of their kids. People reported on December 8, 2025 that the couple decided to settle the matter out of court.
The outlet says they were told by Edmonds’ rep, Steve Honig, “The custody hearing has been called off and both sides have reached an agreement that is in the best interests of the children.”
The outlet says they were previously told by a source that King’s kids were removed from her custody sometime around Halloween of this year, about 20 days before the news she had lost custody became public.
Around November 30, Edmonds posted a photo on Instagram of him and his current wife Kortnie O’Connor, posing with his and King’s three kids.

According to US Weekly’s relationship timeline for the former couple, King and Edmonds tied the knot in St. Louis in October 2014. The following year, on season 10 of “RHOC, “King’s costar Vickin Gunvalson predicted a split, saying, “Jim, talk to me in five years when you’re divorced.”
But the two stayed together for the time being, with King joyously welcoming a baby girl via IVF in 2016 after getting candid on the show about her fertility struggle.
In December 2017, King announced she was pregnant again, this time with twin boys.
2018 was the first year the dog mom hinted at trouble in her marriage, writing in a blog post that her marriage needed a vacation. She cited the strain of having three babies in under two years as a factor and wrote, “We need shining and buffing.”
Then in 2019, Edmonds admitted to having “an inappropriate conversation” with another woman. “I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife,” he said in a statement, before going on to insist he and King “were never having any problems in our marriage.” However, more trouble emerged when King alleged Edmonds had been cheating with a nanny.
In October of that year, Edmonds filed for divorce from King after insiders reported that the pair had “been fighting.” That November Edmonds moved out, and in 2021, the divorce was finalized.
