Chad Spodick, one of the 13 men who competed for Robert Sepélveda Jr.’s heart on the 2016 reality series “Finding Prince Charming,” has died. His death was confirmed in a GoFundMe created by a friend who described the loss as “sudden and heartbreaking.”
Spodick’s Family Shares Their Deep Grief
“Our hearts are shattered as we share the devastating news of the loss of our beautiful, kind, and generous son, brother, and friend Chad,” organizer Kate Werbowski wrote.
The fundraiser was launched to support Spodick’s mother, Felice Harwood, with funeral costs and ongoing living expenses.
“We are still struggling to comprehend a world without his light,” Werbowski added. No details were shared about the cause of death, though the page emphasized that it was entirely “unexpected.”
Friends Say Spodick Was Known for Lifting Others Up
Werbowski described Chad as someone who “poured himself into others” and made everyone around him feel seen.
“He lifted up his friends, encouraged everyone around him to grow, to advocate for themselves, and to believe in their own worth,” she wrote.
His deep love for animals was a constant in his life. “He cared deeply for every creature, especially his four beloved dogs and his bird, Cosmo,” she shared. “The world was brighter with Chad in it, and those who were lucky enough to know him felt the warmth of his heart every day.”
According to the GoFundMe page, Chad’s mother is now facing “unimaginable grief” and the financial weight of unexpected arrangements. While writing this story, more than $14,000 has been raised in his memory.
