Lisa Rinna’s Daughter Bravely Reveals Years-Long ‘Painful’ Health Battle

Delilah Belle Hamlin is pulling back the curtain on a health struggle she says was dismissed for years. The 27-year-old model shared on the She MD podcast that she spent much of her life battling intense symptoms without answers, only recently learning she had endometriosis.

“I had really painful periods,” Delilah said on the December 9 episode. “And I saw so many different gynecologists, and no one mentioned endometriosis.”

Why Delilah’s Endometriosis Went Undiagnosed for So Long

For most of her teens and early twenties, Delilah, the daughter of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, assumed everything she was feeling was normal. She dealt with bloating, severe cramps, acne, and long, difficult cycles.

PCOS crossed her mind, but endometriosis didn’t, at least not until she saw someone else talk about it publicly.

“The first time I had ever heard of it was when Halsey posted about it on her Instagram years ago,” she explained.

“And then I never thought about it. I thought about PCOS and other things that gynecologists would bring up. But my cramps were so bad I was diagnosed with PMDD.”

She added that the pain often disrupted her daily life. “In high school I remember my cramps would be so bad, I would be taken out of school.”

Seizures Became a Red Flag Before Her Diagnosis

Her symptoms extended far beyond painful periods. Delilah said she also experienced seizures that intensified around her menstrual cycle.

“I would have more frequent seizures during my period or before my period,” she shared. “I would get really hot, and I would start convulsing.”

The unexplained symptoms took a toll on her life, contributing to a period of substance and alcohol abuse before she got sober in 2021.

“I got sober from alcohol because of the seizures, that was my main reason,” she said. “I definitely struggled with substance abuse because I was having so much depression and anxiety. The panic attacks were so bad. No one’s figuring out the root cause of all these things.”

Surgery Finally Offered Answers & Relief

After years of uncertainty, Delilah underwent endometriosis surgery in August. Doctors removed endometrial implants that had been causing widespread symptoms, including seizures.

“It feels good to know that it can be fixed,” she said. “I’m very grateful, but you do have to do a lot of research on your own.”

She added that the procedure significantly improved her quality of life.

A New Chapter After Years of Misdiagnosis

Delilah said she hopes her story encourages others to advocate for themselves, especially when they feel dismissed or overlooked. Her journey mirrors what many women experience: long delays in diagnosing endometriosis and years of pain that can take a toll on both physical health and emotional well-being.

Now that she is continuing to heal, Delilah is choosing to speak openly about what she once kept private. “It feels good to understand what was happening finally,” she said, adding that getting answers has brought her both clarity and relief. Watch her full conversation here.
