Lindsay Lohan doesn’t shy away from getting in a good workout, even if it includes hanging upside down. The star proved that point by sharing a photo of herself doing what appears to be aerial yoga.
The star — who recently appeared in Disney’s “Freakier Friday” — took to Instagram on Tuesday, September 30, and posted a photo of herself hanging upside down with her legs wrapped around long pieces of fabric to hold herself up. Her arms can be seen hanging beneath her in the black-and-white photo, which seems to give her body a good stretch.
“Balance isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence ✨,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Lohan’s Followers Were Impressed With What They Saw
Lohan may or may not have posted her workout photo to receive praise, but she definitely got it. Her Instagram followers flooded the comments with impressed clapping and fire emojis, while others left supportive and admiring comments.
“🔥🔥🔥Huge power Lindsay💪🏻,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “How do you do this lol”
Someone else left a comment, saying, “finally about to give us an action movie[.] epic dancing on those silks in the sky!”
Lohan Has a Preference for Yoga & Pilates
When it’s time for Lohan to work out, she does so at a certain time and in a certain way. For instance, in June 2020, she hopped onto Instagram to share a photo of herself in workout wear, ready for a morning yoga session. She also happens to adore doing pilates.
“I love having a routine, and I like schedules,” she told Elle in May. “So, my morning routine: Waking up, writing in my journal, sipping my green tea, breakfast with my son. And then Pilates, making sure I go.”
She also talked to Bustle that same month about her dedication to pilates, saying, “I love Pilates, and I mix it with a little CrossFit. Depending on what I want to focus on, sometimes my trainer is tougher on me — which I like, but I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I have to leave early today.’ [Laughs.] She’s like, ‘No you don’t.'”
“But I love Pilates because it’s gentle but effective, and I prefer that,” she continued. “And strength training is important, because especially with age, you need to build strength more than anything. Aside from moving all the time with my son, which I consider a workout every day, Pilates is nice me-time to have.”
