A ‘DWTS‘ standout thrilled fans on Monday, November 24 by announcing a new little bundle of joy is on the way. Longtime pro dancer Lindsay Arnold, whom E! says announced her retirement from the competition series in August 2025, took to her Instagram to excitedly write in all caps, “Baby Cusick #3 is on the way.” She emphasized her announcement with a few sparkle emojis before continuing, “We could not feel more blessed, grateful, and excited. We love you so much already baby and we can’t wait to meet you!”
How Many Kids Does Lindsay Arnold Have?
Arnold currently has two children, both girls, with her husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick, and the new baby will make three. Arnold has said the couple’s relationship was long distance for almost their entire marriage, as Cusick stayed behind in Utah to work when she went off to Los Angeles to pursue her dance dreams. They began dating when they were just 15.
Earlier this year, the ballroom beauty appeared on “The Squeeze” podcast, which is hosted by Taylor Lautner wife Taylor Dome, to talk about how things went when she attempted to juggle motherhood with starring on the famous series. She said returning to the show less than a year after the birth of her first child, Sage, was intense. “Everything just felt different. Priorities were different.” She explained as a pro, being on the show is “a 24/7 job.” She said the realization led her to conclude, “My 24/7 job is being a mom.”
She went on, “I had a really hard time that season. At the end of that season, I honestly think I knew in my heart, this is it for me.”
She revealed she put off the retirement decision for a little while, but ultimately decided, “My energy is different. I want to be in this new phase of life.”
Arnold often proudly shows off her growing family on her Instagram page, where she has over a million followers.
In a recent snap, she shared her adorable daughters enjoying Halloween.
Lindsay Arnold’s Last Performance on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Arnold’s final performance on “DWTS” was in season 30, which aired in 2021. She was partnered with Matt James, who made reality TV history by being the first black lead on ABC’s “The Bachelor.” The pair danced the Paso Doble for the Disney villains-themed night of competition. They were eliminated in week 4.
