ASAP Rocky is a busy man. The “Problems” rapper and fashion plate became a new father for the third time this fall, welcoming a baby girl with Rihanna on September 13. The 37-year-old is also making major career moves in the fashion sector, and he recently heated up the screen in a sizzling campaign for Chanel. The artist stars in the commercial as the love interest of 31-year-old Margaret Qualley, the youngest of Andie MacDowell‘s three children.
MacDowell is a ’90s icon who starred in hit films such as “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and “Groundhog Day” before transitioning to a Hallmark career. One of her biggest Hallmark roles sees her take on the unforgettable role of Del Landry in “The Way Home,” which is currently filming its fourth season. People exclusively confirmed on November 20 that the fourth season of the series will be its last.

Margaret Qualley Kisses A$AP Rocky in Short Film for Chanel
The film begins with a dreamy shot of the “Maid” star lying in bed next to Rocky. After hitting the snooze button on her alarm, Qualley leans over and plants a sweet kiss on the New York native’s forehead.
Qualley, who is married to Taylor Swift music producer Jack Antonoff in real life, emerges from the bed in a frilly blue spaghetti strap dress before changing into a glamorous fall look and heading out the door. We then see Rocky’s character, who was feigning a deep sleep, pop out of bed in a pair of luxurious red pajamas.
He then races down the fire escape and darts through New York City in a comical fashion which several YouTube commenters called prime meme material. After Qualley ascends the subway steps following a train journey, we see Rocky waiting for her on one knee in the street, and the proposal scene which caused a stir during filming back in October plays out.

Fans were thrilled by the fashionable film. One gushed in the YouTube comments, “I loved this ad. Michel Gondry is amazing. Margaret and A$AP did a fantastic job with this small project. The music, the style, everything.”
Another said the style of Rocky’s exaggerated movements and fast-paced action reminded them of the silent film era.
Another fan chimed in, “It’s so cute and romantic.”
The short film’s release comes days after Rocky was named as Chanel’s newest ambassador. Elle says the brand cited the musician’s “talent, curiosity, and limitless creativity” as traits that make him a perfect muse. Of course, Rocky’s partner and mother of his three children, Rihanna, has a long history with the brand as well. No one can forget her iconic pearl-accessorized look from 2013 at Paris Fashion Week.
