Rick Hilton, the husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy Hilton, is safe after a scary incident. Rick, who is also the father of iconic 2000s socialite and pop culture figure Paris Hilton, was the victim of a home invasion when three burglars broke into his Los Angeles home while his wife was busy attending BravoCon in Las Vegas. Kathy Hilton Says Her Husband’s Gun Protected Him In Break-In
Hilton spoke out at The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women In Entertainment gala about how Rick Hilton’s quick thinking may have saved him during the burglary. She told Extra’s Terri Seymour of Rick’s current condition, “He is good.” She then called the burglary “interesting” before explaining, “They came in and broke the glass, and it was raining, and our security guy was down at the guest house.”
Kathy revealed that Rick heard the glass break, before going on, “He got his shotgun out. Sorry to say that. Three people were in the front master bedroom.” Kathy said he husband looked at the intruders and said, “You know what, get out of here. The police are on their way.”
The mom of four continued her story. “Then our guy came up. They met. And then he started shooting the gun out of his office, in the air.”
“Go Rick!” Terri Seymour exclaimed after hearing the hair-raising tale. Kathy revealed the couple has now “upped everything” security-wise, and alarms will go off “if you touch anything.”
Kathy Hilton’s Christmas Plans Revealed
Kathy plans to “have the whole family together” for Christmas. She said, “We’ll go back and forth I think, to Paris’ and our house.” Kathy and Rick have a total of eight grandchildren. Last year, she told People they make her feel “so fulfilled” and that being a grandmother is “the happiest time of my life.”
Two of those grandchildren belong to Paris, 44, and her husband Carter Reum, whom she married in 2021.
Three more belong to Paris’ younger sister, Nicky. The 42-year-old Theo Grace jewelry designer shares her three daughters with her husband, James Rothschild.
Kathy’s third child, Barron Hilton II, shares two kids with his wife, Countess Tessa June von Walderdorff.
As for the upcoming season 15 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which premieres Thursday, December 4, Hilton isn’t revealing much. “I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. I feel like this is the first time they haven’t let the cat out of the bag too much,” she remarked.
