Jenna kicked off the start of December by showing fans a gnarly burn on her neck from a curling iron, and joking, “I wish this story was a bit more scandalous, and I could blame it on getting a massive hickey, but no,” before revealing the hair tool “literally sizzled off my skin.”

Val Chmerkovskiy Celebrates 1 Million Followers

Around December 2, Val made a video to celebrate hitting 1 million followers on TikTok, an achievement many fans credited to what they dubbed “the Alix Earle effect.” Earle, who was Val’s partner this season, is considered TikTok royalty, having cornered the market for the app’s teen and young adult female audience. Earle’s popularity first blew up with her “Get Ready With Me” videos as a student at the University of Miami. She now documents her post-college endeavors as a full-time influencer.

Val thanked his fans for helping him hit the social media milestone, writing that he appreciates “the love and all the new pen pals.” He then joked, “Ever since I gave TikTok access to all my personal information I’ve been having an absolute blast. it’s like at this point yolo right?”
