A beloved voice actor from a nostalgic Y2K-era hit cartoon has been fighting for his health in a hospital, according to reports. TMZ revealed on December 9, 2025 that Jeff Garcia (full name Jeffrey Garcia), who voiced the character of Sheen Estevez in the hit sci-fi comedy “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius,” is currently in a Southern California hospital fighting unspecified ailments. The hospitalization comes just weeks after a previous admission around November 20 which resulted from a fight with pneumonia. Garcia, 50, recovered from that bout of pneumonia and was released within a few days, according to the outlet.
Garcia was a huge part of the “Jimmy Neutron” universe, lending his voice acting talents to both the original movie and the series, “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.”
Garcia is also a stand-up comedian. Last December, his fellow comedian Tony Holguin, who goes by @comedybytony on Instagram, shouted him out in a post after a Laugh Factory appearance, saying, “Last night was sick as always working with my brother Jeff Garcia. Me and the crew rocked a packed house at the Laugh Factory in Covina!”
In September, the star was photographed performing in Pasadena.

Fans are sending love and well-wishes after learning Garcia is in the hospital. In the Instagram comments of a TMZ post sharing the concerning news, one fan called the voice actor “a great stand-up comedian” before saying, “Get well soon, Jeff.”
Another fan chimed in, “Praying for a speedy recovery!”
Several more fans left praying hands emojis, while someone else exclaimed, “No!”
According to his Instagram page, Garcia’s most recent live comedy appearance was seven weeks ago. The actor announced he would perform at the Covina Theater in California.
Nine years ago, Garcia thrilled fans by recreating the iconic voice of Sheen Estevez during a radio appearance at 101.1 The Bounce. He revealed that he was still receiving residuals from his unforgettable cartoon character, saying, “They’re coming in all the time.”
