“The View” is set to return for season 29, and fans of the show don’t have to wonder anymore when or if that return with happen. ABC has announced when the summer hiatus will be over for the cohosts and the new season will premiere.
‘The View’ Returns in September
The big news was shared on the show’s social media channels, with all six cohosts making appearances while teasing the show’s return.
The clip starts with Joy Behar, the longest-running cohost in the talk show’s history. Behar says, “New season, new view. Be there!”
The video proceeds to show images of the other cohosts, including Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. All of that while prompting the viewers to tune in for all-new episodes.
The video closes out with moderator and Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg addressing the camera. Goldberg says, “This is why you should always keep coming back to ‘The View.’ Because you never know what’s going to happen!”
It all comes to an end with a tune-in notice for “The View’s” return. ABC has scheduled the return of the show and its cohosts on Monday, September 8, 2025.
This happens to be slightly later than other recent seasons’ debut dates. A lot of those premieres would fall during the first week of September. However, the season 29 premiere of “The View” will take place during the second week of September.
No Cancellations Here
The ladies of “The View” went on summer hiatus in July. This is a normal hiatus for the cohosts every summer.
Despite being off the air, the ladies were still generating headlines. One of those headlines happened to come from former cohost and moderator Rosie O’Donnell.
Speculation was running rampant that ABC would be cancelling “The View.” O’Donnell posted a lengthy TikTok video discussing these rumors, stating the rumors seemed true to her and the show would be cancelled.
Fans Excited for the Show’s Return
After the show posted the teaser video on social media, fans were heading to the comments to share their excitement for the new season.
One follower said, “Can’t wait 😝 the last couple of weeks have been so boring without the VIEW looking forward to it!!!😍” Another person added, “OMG NEW SEASON TIME!!!!! I can hardly wait. I’ve missed the ladies so much🫶🏼.”
The excitement continued, with one person writing, “I can’t wait! Season 29! 👏🏾,” and another user saying, “I’ve been watching reruns to keep sane ❤️.”
“The View” will return on Monday, September 8, at 11/10 am PST on ABC.
